Always found it much easier to get the letter through Key Visa.

Will need original letter from pension provider or anyone else making up the required 40,000 baht. Pay slip is acceptable.

I also have used Keyvisa for this letter for several years now.  Great service saving me having to go to the embassy in BKK twice, once to take the papers and once to collect the letter a few days later.

I havecread that you can get a 60 day extension of a non imm o visa based on marriage to Thai.

Does anyone know if you have to have your mrs with you at immigration in order to get this.

You used to only be able to get a weeks extension.

You can just  take her id card with you , she doesn't need to go

It depends what Immigration Office you go to and if the officer is in a good mood. My mate had to provide TabienBaan and Id of his girlfriend just to extend his Tourist Visa. I have found out over the years you should always be prepared when going to Immigration.
