Soi Chiyapoon or Chiyapoom?

How do you spell Soi Chiyapoon in Thai?

I was also wondering if it is really named after the Thai province, Chiyapoom, so ซอยชัยภูมิ .

It's Soi Chaiyapoon, ซอยชัยพูน

Not sure where the name comes from, it's probably named after the Inn in the street, but it's got nothing to do with Chaiyapum province.

 

The official name is Soi Chalermprakiat 25 though, ซอยเฉลิมพระเกียรติ 25

Of course. It's all a massive plot to keep us confused. :-)

Chaloen Phrakiat 23 Alley = Soi Exzyte or Soi Excite, nicknamed after a long since burned down and demolished nightclub.
