If JaiDeeMak has one of his available I'm sure he'd do you a deal - and good to deal with as well.

VT2b, Jada Beach, Pratumnak as well.

More generally, lots of condos now with rents dropping. Small condos off Jomtien second road easily had for 7-8 k a month.

I've even seen one in VT5C for 10k a month.

I would select the area you prefer and ride around it. You will see "For Rent" notices on private properties. There is no shortage of Condos in the rental market. Rental costs - as a landlord myself in the area I kn ow from experience that the rents are at least 10% lower than 2 years ago. I would avoid using Real Estate agents, if at all possible.

I know, I know....lots of people here a no fans of facebook.... BUTTTTTTTTTTTTT.... there are a few groups on FB that specialise in rentals around Jomtien/Pattaya..  Put an ad in there, telling people what you want, and most posters get multiple offers in a fairly short period of time.. Some come from agents, but many come from individuals... Prices quoted seem pretty fair and reasonable to me

As JH says on the baht bus route is key, if you are out in Central / WS etc and can't ride a bike then you'll want a baht bus back. You won't want a taxi bike back all the time

Can a VT2B studio be got for 7k a month?

What are the condos at 7/8k a month off Second Road like? Which buildings?

Interested LT.

Unlikely to get VT2B for 7k. Maybe get lucky if someone really wanting to rent. 10-12k about the norm for a studio there but rents overall falling. VT1 is cheaper, but they are usually 32 sq m (VT2 usually 37).

I haven't looked at the buildings off second road as the location doesn't interest me. Lots advertised cheap at Laguna Beach both to rent & sell. Under 30 sq m though. Amazon, Park Lane and others also cheap.

VT2 is generally around 10K on a yearly lease. Better furniture and higher floor you pay a bit more.

What are good condo buildings where 7-8k a month LT rental is possible?

I am ok with Jomtien/South Pattaya or Central.

I seen an advert for a 32 sq meter/furnished condo in vt1. 52 inch tv and internet direct to room included for i think 6500bt a month. 5th floor if i recall? This was about a month ago. Advertised on notice board outside supermarket on thrappaya road/bus station.

Tons of adverts like this about. Maybe not quite as low but 7-10k is easily found.

EDIT - this also had kitchen area/sink ... fridge/microwave/ basically fully furnished. If your in patts now just walk into reception area of condos or look on notice boards outside supermarkets.

If ya not in patts now, then book a guest house for 1/2/3 nights. And do some footwork when u arrive. Ive got a few business cards of a few people if ya wanna inbox me for them. I was recently there for 2 months and looked at longer stay rentals for when i come again. Got some cards/numbers for people. Mainly in vt2 ... however a few in vt1 in the 7-10k range. If ya want the details inbox me.

Surely a storage facility would be a better option.
