Golf Bar reports

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, I've just been reading a few golf bar competition reports on the PSC website.

What got my attention was a couple of reports on Mountain Shadow and Crystal Bay which said they found the courses in good condition, particularly liking the fast true greens at Mountain Shadow.

Either these guys aren't that fussy or these 2 clubs have done some serious maintenance on their courses.

Anyone played here recently?

Crystal bay yes - 2 weeks ago and course in good nick. Greens on C loop not as slow as they used to be. The newer B loop however still better. Apparently A loop (which I personally like the most) is having the greens relaid but meant to be open soon.......when they will then start work on C greens (which have always been slow).

Mt Shadow about 3 weeks ago but then they were still working on the greens so nowhere near as fast as they used to be and some still with a lot of sand on. However in 3 weeks with the rain it could all be much better?

Personally I would still prefer other courses for the same or less - played Pattavia today and again in excellent condition. The greens were a little slower than the last couple of times due to the recent rain so much more playable. Greenwood last week also in excellent condition.

Khao Kheow at 800 baht green fee is a steal.
