Apologies to jocky but I'm assuming he isn't going to start his usual thread.

I know it's early but fixtures are announced at 9am tomorrow.

As many transfers are bound to take place, I'll reserve my predictions for a while.

davidge I see that the first game between Everton and Swansea City is at Goodison Park on Saturday 16th December.  I will miss the game because I will be in Thailand for Christmas & New Year.  So I will be cheering on the blues in a bar in Pattaya whilst drinking a cold beer of Heinken

OK, not premier league and off topic I know but they made it difficult for Charlton here. I wonder if it was the fact that they did the draw from Bangkok that it was fucked up?  5555

Arsenal are expected to appoint Australian fitness expert Darren Burgess into a new role as director of high performance in a significant addition to the Premier League club’s backroom staff.

Burgess is close to agreeing a deal with Arsenal in a move that has been driven through by chief executive Ivan Gazidis – who promised fans earlier this year that changes would be made – and that manager Arsène Wenger, has rubber-stamped.

The highly-rated Burgess will report directly to Wenger but is expected to be given a wide-ranging brief to include overall control of medical, fitness, psychology and performance analysis at the club, as well as working with the academy.

In fact, it appears that Burgess’ planned role encompasses everything apart from player recruitment and scouting, and is a sign that Wenger has won his battle to ensure Arsenal did not appoint a director of football.

Burgess worked at Liverpool from 2010 to 2012, where the players rated him highly. He then returned to Australia, where he had previously been in charge of fitness and conditioning for the Socceroos national team that reached the 2010 World Cup finals in South Africa.

Doubt it will be a live TV game so I'll have to settle for highlights on MOTD.

I'll be home for Xmas - though Swans are away for the 2 middle matches at this time.

In the states, all the games are streamed live on NBC Sports.  I know that would be blocked, but doesn't Sky (who whoever) stream all the games for UK viewers?

It would be weird that a person in the United States (where football is at best the 5th most pop sport) can watch every EPL and La Liga game live, but you can't in Europe.

No Saturday 3pm kick-offs are allowed to be shown live in the U.K.

Benitez doesn't seem very happy with the transfer business so far.

Have a sinking feeling that Swansea will be battling down there again as well.

Cant see beyond chelsea. Think Man Utd will be second with Man City and Spurs 3rd and 4th.

Cant see Brighton surviving and think Swansea's will go with them. Have a feeling Leicester will struggle too.

77 days since taking over at Palace frank de boer has left the building

Everyone keeps saying on the games gone mad and I think this proves it.

However it tells me that teams are terrified of finishing in that bottom 3 as the financial lose is so huge now it can harm a club massively if they don't bounce back asap.

looks like it's Woy for the Palace job.
