I think BKK is among the best airports, and Heathrow is among the worst. Manila is THE worst.

For me the  suvarnabhumi Airport  is clear and easy to understand... i see much more complicated ones all over the world, especially  in the US an Africa....

The first list I saw on Sky News

http://news.sky.com/story/where-are-heathrow-gatwick-and-stansted-in-worlds-worst-airport-rankings-10913978

but they don't give the source.

The second list is Skytrax.

The Sky News results are a lift from Air Help, https://www.airhelp.com/en/blog/best-airline-in-world/

The web-site states: In 2017, we wanted to create a benchmark in airport excellence. Applying rigorous methodology similar to our airline rankings, AirHelp Score for airports gives you the lowdown on how well the world’s big hubs are delivering for passengers. We weight the score like this: 45% On-Time Performance 45% Quality of Service 10% Social Media Sentiment

But gives no indication what its "rigorous methodology" was....

These rankings are sponsored and self serving. Best to use ones own judgement or word of mouth.

I spend half my money on hookers and booze ,the other half I waste.

Clearly whoever did this ranking has no clue what they are talking about.  Swampy has issues, but no where near the bottom of the list.

This string can be locked now, its stupid and pointless.

Sponsored by Singapore Airlines. :)

Having been to quite a few of those airports, my personal ranking would be a little different.

I guess it depends on your criteria of what a good airport is.

Suvarnabhumi  Airport was built to have a capacity of 45 Million passengers a year & 600 flights a day, like a lot of airports it is operating above capacity almost a 100 flights a day & 55 million passengers.

The runways were built with substandard materials and ned patching up regularly hopefully the recent work will improve it.

Just one more useless ranking, Suvarnabhumi  Airport beats 4 out 5 airports in europe.

I always enjoyed my time in Suvarnanhumi airport. Apart from being gutted that I'm going home I felt the place was very nice looking and had a good bit of architecture to look at and places to eat while waiting for your flight. Beats Manchester and Liverpool airports by a mile!

The only thing wrong with Suvi is the fact it often takes longer to get out of the country than to get in.......

Now if every airport had a cheap food hall like Suvi has.........

Bizarre. I wonder what the scoring criteria was based on

Swampy's my favourite airport; great layout all under one roof, all jetbridges to aircraft, quick taxi to Runway, spacious, clean, cheap and plentiful food options, lots of staff, good connections to BKK and highway....

And then the likes of Barajas is supposedly one of the best - absolute shambles of a place layout wise...or Helsinki - nice enough but really a glorified cowshed where jetbridges don't appear to exist and its €18 for a sandwich

Except HKG, I traveled a lots to BKK and SFO. BKK rank 38 and SFO 39! The international terminal in SFO is better than BKK. But the domestic terminals in SFO are not even close to BKK!

I don't believe there are only eight airports worse than Swampy. I have no problems with that airport.

I did not know her name, I did not know her name but I sure did love the way she laughed and called me honey.

I did not know her name, I did not know her name but I sure did love the way she laughed and took my money.

The Skytrax shows TOP 100  Suvarnabhumi 38th Don Muang is not on the list even though it is a lot bigger than the others on the list so it is less than 100 fair enough.

Now Airhelp only give 76 on their list so the bottom one is the 76 best airport in the world not the worst.

So the moral of this do not believe any shit you see in the papers or news.

How many Internation Airports are there in the world ?
