TW Platinum Suites, Jomtien- Any info?

I'm hoping someone has an idea what this place is like. It's on Thepprasit Soi 12 - basically, behind FoodMart & VT1.

I know very little about it. Who built it? Has it been selling well? What is the construction like? Who lives there? Etc etc.

Any info appreciated.

Thanks.

OK. This is what I've gathered from a bit of research:

TW Platinum Suites is the top 4 floors.

Lower 4 floors are TW Jomtien Beach Condo.

7 years old.

Developers Ratanakorn Asset own several developments in Pattaya (e.g. R-Con) and run them as 'resorts'. I'm guessing this means lots of short term residents and fewer long term?

Possibly houses as well as part of the TW resort?

If anyone can confirm, or otherwise, & give any first hand experience then I'd be grateful.

Thanks.

For those who don't know Ian here is some more info:

'What would you call a person who has excelled in fields as diverse as medicine and motor racing, photography and philanthropy, who is a raconteur and restive, a gastronome and a gentleman, a man of the world and a man of the word, a restaurateur and a revolutionary, hedonistic yet humanistic, he is a man given to anecdotes and analogies, erudite and entertaining! He is witty and wise. Would you call him an ‘over-achiever’? Or an ‘overwhelmer’? Or neither of these? You would call him Iain Corness - or, Dr. Iain Corness, if you wish - because that is his name'.

Part of the building is being used as a condotel. Personally I would avoid this like the plague as to me it only indicates that there is no demand for ownership.

About 5 years ago I did look at a ~40sqm unit there that was up for sale by a motivated vendor at 1.5MB
As far as I recall in the end there was one offer around 1MB and it went for that price.
At the time other similar units were for sale at 2+MB and probably still are.

Thanks for the info.

A friend asked me about the place. He's actively looking to buy a large condo, or possibly a house, and I hadn't come across this development before.

Went with friend when he viewed some units there.

IMHO (and his) it's a dump in a poor location.

developer are even dumping furnished units in there below 30" per sqm .

seems impossible to rent out aswell and atleast interior and finnish are at very low standard .

location could be worse :)

For 30a sqm this 44Sqm looks me like a medium , but can not call it a dump , and location is on the back side from VT1 B..., so for that price categorie better than a majestic or nirun ...I find .

Baht bus up and down Theprasit to Tesco close, and on a 3 min walk to Thappraya bahtbusses express way , and the 24 hours western orientated supermarket in front VT 1 .

(I saw worse for higher money )

And no I do not live there , but I like the pool & pictures

Pool looks nice in pics then you go and see the tiles in it lifting.

Musty smell in buildings.

Lack of maintenance clear.

I must admit I never be there on the place myself , so a nice place can be quick deteriorated .........so far also for the other location location location high so condo off plan ..today .!....and in a few month's  views can be gone by the building ma...ff...a..

So that is what is go become off the condo villages as lagunas ,seven sea's etc ....longtime keeping empty no buyers and the building companies not liking to pay maintenance costs for the empty ones .....and making the sqm maintenance so high no new buyers  coming ..... a spiral situation

TW Platinum has even 63 sqm one http://www.greendoorenterprises.com/property/1878/Studio-For-Rent-And-For-Sale-In-TW-Platinum-Suites (more pics. )with 2 terraces ,....Yes as you can see on the site ...it's a real dump...:P:D  .......

I saw that unit several years ago when it was still unfinished and unfurnished. I seem to remember that it was priced at 3MB, though I could be wrong. It was the nicest of them, but it didnt appeal to me.

A friend of mine lives there.  NIce condo and the facilities are ok.   She says there are almost never any people there.  So if you like having the pool basically for yourself, this might be for you.  If not, stay far away.
