Hi all.

has anyone stayed here and can they recommend it? Some good deals on Agoda but was wondering about location and cleanliness... thanks

There are a good few recent reviews for this place, including from myself, It's clean, good price, decent pool, great central location as in easy to get to Walking Street, going south on nearby baht bus or beach road or soi 7, etc, friendly helpful staff, comfy beds, decent little restaurant, etc. good choice for a hotel overall.

You tube has reviews for all 3(?) 'D' places......

Yeah I seen them but wanted BMs thoughts if they had stayed there etc

Didn't even have to go beyond page 1....

Booked in for next month with Agoda

The reviews were very good and sold it to me

I stayed here for 21 days last month (April 2017).  It is fairly new (less than 2 years old) and still relativity clean. The room that I had was facing the front of the hotel (superior room) was big and spacious. Shower and bathroom had consistent hot water and good pressure.  The AC worked great and it also had a room fan.The only problem area that I encountered was that when I had the AC on and the room fan on and the TV on at the same time, whilst trying to cool the room down durin gmy first several hours there, it would trip the electrical circuit and all the power would shut off. This happened 3 times during the first day that I was there before a cleaning lady advised me of this problem and from then on I did not have the room fan on  while the TV and AC was on, after that I had no further problems.

It is close to Soi Boauhkaw (about 80 meters away) however it is on a quite Soi. It has a nice pool on the rooftop and a small restaurant that is sufficient for meals  during the day time and closes early around 7 pm.

The cleaning ladies did a good job and the front desk staff was good. I would stay here again.

Thank you mate. Looks like I've made a good choice

how close is the nearest bar and any ones close by you can recommend ?

Stayed there in March for 3 weeks and can recommend as a good place to stay. For bars you have New Plaza, which is virtually across the road and R-Con bar on the S bend which has cheap cold beers.

Everything is in a short walking distance.

I'm thinking of booking for a few days in August has anyone been charged extra for bringing back 2 girls at once and I am just wondering what the fees are? I usually stay at guesthouses.

I will be there then. They charge for more than one girl

I'm booked here for next Feb. The problem I have is I could only find it through Agoda and the 2 room selections seem to be in the old block. Have read reviews the new block is quite a bit more expensive anyways but would have been nice to have that option.

Actually it could be you booked the place behind D hotel, which would be D apartments? This does have 2 blocks, one being considerably cheaper on Agoda. The D apartments has a D1 and D2 building. With D1 being a bit worn looking, but is considerably cheaper.

A link below shows the D hotel webpage, it also has links to their other locations at D apartments, D Express and P.S Apartments:

I'm staying here next month.

Can anyone who's stayed here provide any details about the on site restaurant? Quality, variety, prices, breakfast etc?

PR1977     .........  I stayed there in April and ate 6 or 7 times at the on site restaurant, IMHO it is adequate at best. If it's raining or you are tired or you just don't want to go out to another restaurant ........ you can find something on there menu to eat. My "go to meal's  when it was raining or I just did not want to walk or go to another restaurant was "fried Rice or Tom -Yum Kung soup.

There breakfast was basic, eggs, 1 sausage, a few beans and a tomato and a cup of tea or coffee. There was rarely anyone sitting at the other 3 tables when i ate there. There was only one cook and a lady who worked as a server/ waitress and cleaner/ janitor combined. Service was slow. Food taste average at best. Prices fair, not expensive.

I never ate a meal there that I would say was "Delicious"  or even "Great". The quality and taste was adequate at best. Would I eat there again........yes if it was raining or I was to tired to go else where. It closes at 7 pm exactly.

I'm staying at D hotel soon too. I don't expect to be using the restaurant, there is plenty of good food nearby. The Take Away restaturant is just across the road and always a good fallback if you can't find anything else.

There's tons of cheap restaurants and bars on Soi Bukhaow at the top of the street. A couple of mins walk South on Bukhaow  is Jollys restaurant which is good for an afternoon breaky and people watching. Gets packed on Sundays afternoons for carvery.

I am very familiar with the area and all the food and restaurant options, thanks.

I only require information about the food onsite at D hotel.

I stayed in May and never ate in the hotel once so can't comment on it's food first hand. However a Norwegian guy was in reception and he had just had something to eat and told me it was decent.

I never had an issue with it once, good enough to stream You Tube and Netflix without any issues.
