Prenuptial Agreement, also known in Thailand as Antenuptial Agreement is valid in Thai Law. But as you presumably intend to live in Belgium you will require a lawyer with experience in Family Law. Pre nups are more complicated in Thailand than Belgium and need to be registered with the Government.

I suspect getting a water-tight one that will stand up in the west is very difficult to do with a TG. If it is anything other than in Thai any dumb-shit lawyer will be able to get deemed void due to her not understanding what she signed.

That is why Thai Law differs. The girl must have her own lawyer to ensure she understands what she is signing.

she will get it all.  you need to set it up with a good lawyer, one the the good farang ones.  a good lawyer and you will get half back, better than nothing

In the US she must have her own lawyer [that you pay for] and video tape it and you would need a pro Thai interpreter to make sure she understands fully, on video....just sayin

She's gonna walk through that prenup like Hitler walked into Belgium.

Are any of previous comments based on facts from Thai Law or are they based on experience in US or some other Country. Would like to quote if I appear in a Thai Court in near future. Thai Civil Code quite specific.

Thanks for the replies guys, I'll check with the Chatachan Chetawanavit lawyer and get some information.

I don't get why so many guys are saying "don't get married". I know this is a reality and some/most marriages with Thai ladies start good and great but (often) end up in divorce. I guess most of the time guys don't get a decent prenup and end up giving up half or more? Or just regret it completely in the end? I don't think any divorce would end up well.
