Booking hotels

I will be going to Patts for 3 weeks. I would like to do a side trip somewhere for 4-5 days. My dilemma is I don't know when. I might want to find a LLT to go with.

Should I:

A. Book the whole stay and eat the days I am not there.

B. Don't book and pay day by day.

Will hotels let me break up my stay and come back 4-5 days later?

Cambodia seems to be a popular side trip.

i would book 9 nights in hotel, go on your side trip( fly early in morning to maximise stay)

then another week in hotel. Should be no problem

When I go to Pattaya for more then 2 weeks, I only book a hotel for the first week.

Because I do not know want will happen when I come to Pattaya, sometimes I stay in Pattaya the whole trip, other times I will take a side trip or stay in Jomtien for 3/4 days.

Done it 10+ times  - never had a problem finding a hotel.

In the past i`ve often booked and paid for the duration of my stay at a particular hotel, then half way through i`ve decided im off to koh larn (a number of times)one time koh samui, and in the past Bangkok a few times too.It hasn`t bothered me that im paying for a room i might not use for a few days!I dont like packing and unpacking all the time anyway, once i get my hotel room its my base for my entire stay, even if i go off somewhere!

I do the same as some have mentioned above, I book my hotel in Pattaya for my complete stay. if I take a 3 to 4 day side trip, I keep my Pattaya room and pack light for the side trip.

Yes it's a little more costly, but sure makes the travel a little easier.

If I wasn't coming to Pattaya, I would try and get a earlier check out date.

Hi..you can pay day by day at my place and when you go off for your side trip you can leave your main luggage in my office 'til you get back.

Have a look at my rooms and prices in my website hi-lighted below.
