Hotel with the largest tv

Recommended Posts

Since I really enjoy spending time in my room watching movies, can anyone recommend hotels that have large screen televisions? 55" or greater would be ideal.

I'm thinking that since my next trip will be less than 30 days, I might as well stick with a hotel as opposed to looking for and renting a condo.

Can't answer the question, but curious to see the responses.

One issue: do you have a plan to hook something up to the TV to watch alternate programming?  I travel with an HDMI cable to hook to my laptop, but haven't touched it my last couple of trips.  That said, the TV channel lineup leaves quite a but to be desired in just about every room in which I have stayed in Pattaya.

Yes, I plan on hooking my laptop up to watch DVDs and downloaded movies.

I'm not sure if I could find a non-region locked player there, so I definitely plan on  bringing my own.

You want to watch standard DVD on a 55" tv? Your car use an 8 track player as well?

OP, are you serious? You come all the way to Pattaya to watch movies in your room? Anyway, a 55" TV is too big for a hotel room. You need a suite. Last month, I stayed in Mera Mare, I could not tell the TV was a 55" or 48".

Serious? Quite. At my age, I need a day off from drinking and chasing skirts on a 30 day vacation.

Even God took a day of rest, and that was after just one week.

If you want a day off and watch a movie, the cinema at Central Festival may be a better choice than look for a hotel with a 55" TV.

Ive been in many different hotels in Pats. I for sure have not seen over 40 inch if I even seen that. You may wanna try condo and probably still be lucky to find a big one. I keep an eye out for the movie theatres there if there is anything I wanna see. Cheaper than home. Don't go every trip. I always take a lady with me.

Not sure how big it was but my last stay in 2010 which was eons ago the Queen vic hotel rooms had pretty decent flat screens that was a a nice surprise when a stayed there but can be a little noisy at night if you want a quiet one that is the day time is no prob , I didn't notice any noise till the last night where I had to get some sleep for travelling home the nxt day.

I understand, his vacation, he want to spend some time to watch movies in his room is his choice. I just asked if he was serious. lt is kind of strange looking for a 55" TV in a hotel room in Pattay! I have stayed in numbers of 4/5 star hotels in Pattaya. The TV in the suite I stayed in Mera Mare may be the biggest TV I have seen.

Many thanks for the suggestions. Most of them seem like they will do nicely.
