Day 4...Emerald
GF 1000, caddie 350, cart 600...a bit more expensive than usual for this course....on occasions we've paid 1250 all up for everything..
50 minutes travel......I think our (usually very good) driver made an error in judgement and took route 36 again.....and major roadworks still happening so probably lost 15 minutes. Straight down 331 would have been the go.

I'm sure I missed it but did you include transportation in the costs?

Sorry mate our taxi cost varies depending on which club we go to.

The close ones (Laem Chabang, Burapha, Pattaya Country Club) cost is 1600 baht round trip ie Hotel-Golf-Hotel

Courses like Emerald are usually 2000....but when you divide by 4 of us it works out pretty cheap for a round trip. The driver waits for us at the club to bring us back to our hotel.

Above fees add:

500 transportation and

350 caddie tip?

Transportation 400 other courses.

Did you guys take a van or a taxi?

A friend is someone you play golf with, a best friend organizes an outing like this!

Good work farcanal.

If you go with one of the groups out of a bar the transport fee is usually around 300 baht - but there may be 10 of you in a bus.

Yep, we started going in 2008 , using a golf tour company.

Cost us a shitload...eg Bangpra at 3900 baht....we now pay around 2000 depending on the time of year.

I started doing research, hotels, golf, taxi......now, I find I'm organising everything. But I'm happy to do for my mates. I've got it streamlined a fair bit now and finding it easy. And with one person doing it there's less confusion.

Our taxi is a Toyota Innova....all the gear fits in the back, the old guy gets the front seat and us skinny arses get the back seat.

A Toyota Fortuner would provide slightly more room, but we're only in the car less than an hour at a time.

When I played with the Links guys back in December it was 240 for the van and there were only about five or six players using it. Most were taking their own car and Christian one of the owners drove the van. Very comfortable transport. I lucked out in that regard.

Also maybe the op can chime in if he's started his golf journey.
