Another SIM card question- I'm sorry lads...

I have an iPhone 6s which I use here in Britain. I have a sim only deal witn vodaphone. My past trip I just stuck my phone on airplane mode the whole time and used it as a camera and on wifi in bars to enter what's app,Facebook and such like.

However this time I am wondering should I remove my SIM card and stick in a Thai SIM card when I get to the airport with enough data for google maps and to text my pal who is in another hotel.

My only worry is will my apps all still be usable and will I get my emails and such with a Thai SIM being in my phone. I will use line,Facebook, what'sapp and such like. Or should I just do as I did the last time?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Joe

I always get a sim card at Bangkok airport much better value than paying roaming charges and the girls in the kiosks will fit it and set it up for you so you're all good to go from the off.

The SIM that you have in the phone should not affect your apps and emails. They are not dependent on the SIM.

Make sure your iphone is unlocked .......if you need to check, you can get free sims from other networks to check if they connect to their network.

My iPhone is unlocked I got it checked last week. Can you recommend which stand to go to or doesn't it matter as it's just for two weeks.

I always use dtac for their unlimited data. I think they have a 15 day plan too. A 1 month plan is about £500b.
