Large screen TV for movies in the room?

Pazuzu

Recommended Posts

Given my age and condition, I can't drink and chase skirts all day, every day anymore. So I like to relax on my "days off" watching movies in the comfort of my room.

Many moons ago, back when I used to go to Pattaya on TDYs, we would get all sorts of electronics (some may have been bootlegged) pretty cheap. I wonder if these days large screen TVs might fall into that category?

Is there a place to rent, or perhaps buy with the option to sell it back to them when my vacation is over, a large screen TV of 55" or better for my movie indulgence?

Are there any decent hotels that already have them?

My condo has just come off long term rental and I am in process of doing it up for holiday lets. I am putting a new 55" TV in it + dvd player among other things if your interested. Gonna look into the possibility of having something like netflicks on demand as well.

It's on Diana Estate on Soi Boukhow close to LK Metro. 54 sqm double unit with separate bedroom, and balcony. Prices are: 1 week 8'500, 2 weeks 15'000, 3 weeks 21'500, 1 month 27'500, further discount for longer stays.

The current tenants don't move out until the end of March and then I'm doing it up a bit so wont be available until June or possibly May. You can see it here, http://www.diana-estate-pattaya-rentals.com/pictures--rates-of-meows-studios.html,  as this person manages bookings for me. It's the 3rd one down on the page " COMING JUNE 2017.......A-87 NICE DOUBLE UNIT Though the current pics don't do it justice and it will look a bit different by the summer.

As well as adding a 55" TV I will be changing the sofa for a large brown leather corner unit, adding blackout curtains, and having the whole apartment painted top to bottom probably in a different colour scheme. Possibly some other/changes improvements too but will decide when I get there in April. The pics on the website will be updated once I've finished.

Also 2 swimming pools, laundry and a restaurant on site.

Those are some nice looking condos.

Is there a maid service available? A fella can go through quite a few sheets and towels when on vacation.

Yes they offer maid service daily or weekly. I opt for the daily with Dancewatchers. 1000 bath/week. Usually there is plenty of extra towles and bed linnen in the closet.

The funny thing about first impressions is you don't get a second chance at them!

http://www.lg.com/us/support-product/lg-60PV450  it seem that there is a big manual download on that page with a online manual (or maybe already on the TV downloaded ..) not a printed one .

It looks as a online manual in different languages ,around 50 mb

Non native English writing poster, not using a spell checker !!

What signal source do you use for your big screens? All hotel rooms and condos I have stayed at have had very bad picture quality.

Most hotels in Pattaya have very poor picture quality becasue most of them are still using old LCD TV. Not HD or 4k. I stayed in Mera Mare last month. They have HD TVs. The signal source must be from satelite or cable. 100+ HD channels.

Guy your link still is not working, it takes me to some small box with Thai script on it, not your site.

When I hover my mouse over your link http://wwww.condopattaya-rent.com  it looks exactly like this the 1st part is colored red and the rest colored blue

The reason I guess is you have http://wwww.condopattaya-rent.com

Thats one to many "W"s

This though works fine

Here are two condos I own, nightly rental like a hotel,  both with 47" TVs and True Vision cable.

Both are in View Talay 6 condo building next to Central Festival Shopping. Good luck finding a better location!

Definitely big box hotels have the bigger TVs but many smaller hotels will only have small TVs. It's kind of a toss up until you walk into a room and see for yourself. I would suggest using Netflix through a VPN if internet speeds allow!
