Windows 10 updates- pissing me off.

Given that the OP lives in Thailand, how much could it cost to just have a tech-savvy Thai do the installs/upgrades? 

 

Some users just lack the "ken" for computer things but their talents in other areas may more than compensate. Thanks for all the pictures. 

 

Not very much and my comment was tongue in cheek hence the

 

Although if you ask for advice it is probably a good idea to listen or read what is supplied. I am just talking generally as perhaps the OP did give it a go.

And being Scottish i did not want to pay money to  a Thai expert when i have this friend who is very computer savvy but because he was not available for a few days i thought i would ask here to see if any one else with Windows 10 was having these problems and if so had they fixed it.

 

i don't think anyone suggested uninstalling the Window 10 Photo App (which my friend thinks is probably  corrupted) and installing Windows Photo Viewer which does the same job using a slightly different layout.. As i pointed out, other people have been having the same problem as far  back in 2015 so looks like Window 10 is the problem..

 

Regarding Windows deciding that a 'photo'  (actually a Jpeg document)  because of its shape should be in Landscape mode even although i wanted it in Portrait mode that problem is still there but my friend has found a way round it but i wont bother explaining it unless anyone particularly wants to know,

I blame all the rain we had a few weeks ago and still having.

Every time I try to install this update my cpu go’s to 100 % and it fails.  There is a fix on Microsoft’s web site, which includes registry edits, but going to delay until a new update comes out. My version of windows 10 won’t let me deny a update
