Anyone bought one of these? If so, where from, how much etc

Alternatively, does anyone know how to still get a free upgrade to Windows 10?

Many thanks

If you've got Windows 7/8, I'd advise you to stick to the older software as it is much smoother and less 'socialist'. The new version hogs up all your bandwidth with updates. Windows 10 is still free if you look up those tech websites though.

Here's a tutorial on how to download it directly from an affilate of ms.

If you just need an upgrade it's still free http://www.howtogeek.com/272201/all-the-ways-you-can-still-get-windows-10-for-free/

If you have a new build pc or a linux laptop the best way is to buy a cheap win7 oem off ebay and do the above upgrade to win10 quickly.

So far even people with illegal d/l copies of win7 have done the free upgrade with no problems......however beware buying a win 10 copy off ebay as loads of them are being blocked by microsoft within a few weeks.

Better to stick with W7, W10 is a PITA.

Sorry but I love it....Win 10 that is :GoldenSmile1:

Just download the free trial version from Microsoft then find a unlocker on a torrent site works fine. Don't pay the 500THB or whatever they want.

Update it for free but make sure you put a free antivirus on afterwards - Avast or AVG are both good

Thanks all.

Got an i7 laptop then bought a 256GB M.2 SSD drive.

Migrated to the SSD and it goes like a rocket on W10.

Cold start boot ~ 13 seconds!

There are known examples of non-official Windows distributions that are pre-infected with ransomware.  After you install or upgrade it waits a few months so that you can put important files on it, then encrypts and demands money.

Just go Linux unless you have a compelling reason to need to use Windows (adobe) and even then you can use windows in a a VMware Player VM. Cost free and virus free.

Took a while, but I've grown to love it....I think.

I used an automated KMS unlocker for a while before I went legit' and somewhere deep it my annals it's still there according to the Safety Scanner but it can't entirely remove it.

The end may come any time soon.
