The Hideaway Soi 15-just off Soi Buekow

Anyone stayed at the hideaway? I have been looking at it on website and Tripadvisor and it looks perfect for me.So I have bite the bullet and booked it for my whole stay. I did say in a previous post I was gonna look at accomadation when on the ground. However I like the idea of paying it before I arrive, then all my money is for drinking and activities.

The location is where I want to stay

It seems to be quiet enough

Rooms are big

The owner who I have contacted Andy seems a nice lad

Reading great things about it having smart Tv and wifi is excellent.

No pool however can use the one next door or nip down to Mikes mall for a dip on the odd day.

Any thoughts people.

Stayed there in May, I think you have made a good choice, as posted it is not cheap, but well worth the money. The beds are big, in house laundry and food available nearby. The bar is well stocked, killer pool nights take place, I believe that Kev in Thailand has meetings there now at least once a week ( youtube ). Andy the owner is an excellent host and cannot do enough for you.The location is very good for Soi Buakhao and LK Metro and the shopping centre is just down the road. Enjoy

Bobby, did you use either of the pools nearby? I'm booked in for May this year hope the weather is decent. Quick question is the shower a walk in as in like glass around it or one of the showers that gets the whole bathroom soaked.

Andy seems like a top bloke. I'm looking forward to my stay.

Hideaway is literally the highest scoring property in my model that has scoring data available from ALL the sources I use.  It ranks consistently high on all my scoring mechanisms.

Its immediate competitors in the model, score-wise, are Wave hotel, Hilton hotel, AVANI, Baraquda, and Areca.  It's very impressive and centrally-located to 2 of the 3 "main" nightlife areas.  Definitely worth a try for anyone who hasn't already decided on an accommodation ...

Need hotel suggestions?  Free, non-judgmental help available HERE with over 1,100 rooms within 1 mile of the Pattaya nightlife districts covered.  Results tuned to your exact specifications.

Stay there 2 weeks last January and it was perfect .

Andy is a fantastic host, very helpful and friendly , the staff is fabulous, big rooms, big TV with many channels available, bed is large enough for 3 ...Wi-Fi is fast and very reliable.

No complain from me.

Well worth the price.

I stayed there for a week last year - great spot.  Nice rooms (new, clean & big), friendly & helpful staff, and Andy is an outstanding host.  I also love the location.  Will be returning there in the spring if he has space!

Can anyone tell me if the shower is cordoned off with glass or such like. Or is the bathroom a wet room type.

Cheers dude, it's no big deal and I have already booked my stay anyway. The bathrooms do look big as well as the rooms. So won't be a problem.

Thanks for all the replies

I stayed just one night as I had already booked elsewhere last winter. Top-notch guesthouse for sure. Can't remember what type of shower it was though.

It's seems from all the replies that I have made the correct decision in booking hideaway. Now can't wait for the holiday to come around.

Woo hoo

Yes but it is from what I understand a fairly new guesthouse with modern and nice looking fixtures and fittings. Some of the rooms even have a sofa, just like boomerang just round the corner. If its done out nicely I think personaly the rooms should be more, and I'd happily pay a bit more

I personally don't mind paying a bit more for a lovely guest house In a good location. These rooms look much better than the hotels in this area I seen for the £21 a night I am paying at the hideaway.

Will do a full review on it once I am staying at it.

Stayed there for a week last Sept, Luved it, big room, very clean, SUPERB wifi, side entrance [so no walk of shame in the mornings] you can also leave the aircon on in your room so its nice and cool when you return.  Also great location

Andy the owner, is a real gent, who'll go out of his way to make you welcome.

Well worth the money IMO. Booked to stay there for 3 weeks next holiday, really great place.

But for a few dollars more you can have a hotel with swimming pool and Importantly for some a lift..

But will it be a nice hotel, with a nice pool and nice new modern fixtures and fittings?

I was looking at hotels for the £21 a night I am at hideaway. None of them is this area, had rooms to such a high finish and standard as the hideaway. Yeah a pool would be nice however. If the mood takes me I will use next doors for 100 bhat. Can't see me being at it everyday. I understand the lift completely and it would be a major thing for some people. However not for myself.
