Nice guest house this Christmas

Hi can anyone recommend a nice guest house, I'm coming to pattaya 2 weeks at Christmas. I usually stay in hotels but the prices have got shocking. Would like to spend anything from 1000 to 2000 baht per night. Anywhere along beach, 2nd road, soi boukhao, lengkee,etc.

Try Booking.com , you can filter to your desired price and location -and check reviews from previous customers .

They have plenty of options available - most of time you pay nothing up front , payment made at hotel when you arrive or check out

I have been using them for years with no problems

Bigderryman- just looked on Booking.com and 18 Coins in soi boukhao is available at £20 per night over xmas ,good location and nice rooms , loads of other options too - hope this helps

A room of sorts can always be found but a good one in a favourable location over Christmas week is no picnic at short notice.

Yes I'm finding that out lol. I could be on back to hotels this trip and plan earlier to get a decent room at good value for next trip. I'll need to book something next couple days

I agree, a nice guest house or condo unit has better in room facilities than a hotel but the good ones around the Buakhao area get snapped up well in advance.

There's a thread saying 30% booked and likely to stay that way. Ummmm. Maybe it's a Christmas thing which I would have thought would mean little in Thailand.

Try the "Blue Heeler" on Lengkee, drop Max an e-mail. Nice big rooms and great staff. I would recommend here.

isn't 18 coins a hostel with dormitories... pictures look like there are several beds to a room sectioned off in like cupboards with a curtain across ?

I'd recommend Bedtime hotel at Pattaya Klang. Just did a quick check for Xmas period and the price is still very reasonable. ~800 baht/ night.
