P72 vs W14

Hi Again

I bookes W14 yet still considering P72.

Almost half price...

 

All reviews are mixed in means of guest friendliness of P72 hotel.

 

I emailed to ask them and no response..

 

Is there anyone who knows both hotels and can suggest if price difference for W14 is worth?

P.72 is 2-star hotel and W14 is 3-star hotel and both are by Walking Street..

P72 is just okay for S/T only.

Better place is Grand hotel opposite Secrets.

Better still is At Sea Residence.....above beer bar at start of Walking Street.

W14 in soi 14 opposite Secrets and next to the grand hotel mentioned above opened end of jan start of feb 2015

P72 has been in walking st  many many years.

with regards to At Sea Residence never met anybody who has stayed there more than once

I have stayed at P72 and it was okay but a bit dated. I had a room facing the alley at the side and was very quiet..

 

W14 is much more new and more expensive but I have not stayed there.

 

I would stay at P72 again if I wanted to be in Walking Street,

another option would be Secrets, when W14 opened i think they were around about 1500 bht/night and Secrets about 1000 ish, but not certain of current priceings

P72 would be a poor choice unless you want the "dive adventure" your security of valuables would be a worry too. Secrets is the most secure and likelihood to be sanitized.

Hey there, im soon gonna book my hotel and these two are my favorites.

Anyone know about the W14 - is it guest friendly without joiner fee? Age of guests at least 18 or 20?

I think the W14 seems to be better as it is very close to Walking Street but still you can "escape" the action when necessary - for a little relaxing. However i do not like that it has no elevator.

Room quality i think is similar if you choose the better rooms in the P72.

And is the P72 really unsafe in terms of your belongings?

Since i go 2 weeks i was even thinking about bookin first week in the P72 then transfer to the W14 - what's your thought on this idea?
