3k is a very good budget so they are all good! Be more specifc how far the soi you are willing to walk or you wanna just stay at the subsoi.

I've been using the Aloft hotel for the last few years and I've been happy with it. Especially if you can get it in the $80US range on one of the booking sites

I used to use the Grand President years ago. A lot cheaper than Aloft, but I remember the rooms being a bit dated and small. But like I said it has been awhile since I stayed there

Loved Fraser Suites the one time I stayed there but a bit off the beaten path for me.

Great balcony and rooftop restaurant/lounge

Not been in Aloft but some friends with Starwood status love it.

Holiday Inn Express at the north end of Soi 11, about 1800 Baht/night with brekkie

Just 1 2-minute walk over to Firehouse for best burgers in the Sukhumvit farang ghetto.

I just reserved the Aloft for two nights in October using SPG points. 3k per night on weekends. looks like a pretty nice place. Never spent any time in the area so i"m pretty excited to check it out

Looks nice. Is it guest friendly?

I recommend Mercure hotel Sukhumvit 11. The hotel is spacious. And the interior is beautiful. It is Bangkok hotel where lounge is most cheaply used. And I heard that the manager is Sofitel Sukhumvit. Certified hotels. Good hotel. but It is far from the station.

Fraser Suites is nice and cool having Above 11 there too.

Grand Swiss nice rooms but staff can be nosey/snootey.

Salil is good, get a top floor suite/biggest room, good value, fine with naughty goings on.

Depends....is the federal hotel carpark that allowed you to cut thru to soi 7 still open for access?

If not I'd pick something closer to the main road.
