Tapatalk and security

I see on the forum that lots of people use Tapatalk.

 

Recently I installed it on my android device to see Pattaya Addicts when I am being mobile. 

 

But I now have some concerns.  I received an e-mail saying that:

 

Someone Followed You!

DNoble  is now following you on Tapatalk

 

On a google search I found that this following feature is on by default and cannot be disabled.  But only the people on the forum you frequent can follow you.  But there is no one on Pattaya Addicts called DNoble.

 

Does anyone know:

• Should I be concerned?
• How to turn this off?
• Is there an alternative for android?

Been using it for a long time and not had any problems.

Nope. But i see you have 8 followers in your profile.

 

(I've got 9 lol. Not sure what that means. Maybe you can turn off email notifications. I wouldn't worry about it.)

Says I'm following 31 people but didn't try and follow any of them, I think it happens when you follow a topic because I know I've done that but nobody's profile in particular
