visa runs from pattaya

the last 7 years I have done my 60 visa runs from Pattaya...previously, I did them from bangkok...Jack Golf..was a company that supplied a very large bus each day for the visa runs. In patts...every time has been a 9 pasenger van..9 people stuffed in like rats and drivers who drove like a "bat from hell', well this past February was the last straw...I will not do this on a passenger van....My question is:

are there any companies in Pattaya that do visa runs...but use a large comfortable bus. I do not want to have to spend a couple days in bangkok...just to do a visa run...but will not get on anothet 9 passenger van for the run again.

Any help would be great...thanks guys.

There used to from bottom of Soi Post Office or Yamoto, but that was over 10 years ago.

I think the 9 or luxury 6 seater kamakarzi Toyota Commuter vans are your only option from Pattaya.

This company used do visa runs to Cambodia in a 40 or 50 seat bus. I used them a couple of times a few years ago and it was a hassle free day. I don't think the demand is there these days for large bus to do visa runs but no harm in contacting them.

Didn't they crack down on ability to use a visa run to extend your time in Thailand?

no..not at all....unless you are doing multiple 30 visa runs to stay in the country. I do a dual 60 day visa...with 1 border run after first 60 days, which gives me an additional 60 days.....then go to immigration and get a 30 day extention...total time 5 months...all legal...and up front.

Which 60 day visa would that be? They have only single or multiple Tourist visas now. So perhaps another kind of visa?

Jimme Jones,

before I leave the USA, I apply for multiple 60 day visa at the Thai embassy in Wash. DC. This cost $60.00. they stamp my passport with a dual 60 day visa. After 59 days, I have to make a border run...I then get another 60 day visa at the border. Then after 59 days, I go to immigration in Pattaya and apply for a 30 day visa extention...this cost 2000 baht.  total time basically 5 months.

When was the last time that you applied for such a Tourist visa? They were discontinued on the 13th of November 2015. Now your choices are a Single Entry visa at US$40 or a Multiple Entry visa at US$200.

I'm surprised that no one has pointed this out to you.

i told you what I did...this was in 2016...this is the last time I will mention it. believe me...dont believe me...I really dont care. I have done this for many years and will continue to do again this year. End of subject.

The post was about if there were any buses that did visa runs in pattaya. that will be the only thing i will discuss from this point on.

Clearly you are the Chosen One Joseph.... Thailand discontinued the Double Entry Visa worldwide last year, but they have made an exception just for you.

You really are special.

Don't be mad, Joseph, as I used to do the same thing with Tourist visas myself, using a Double and Triple Entry, according to my travel plans. But the last time that you could apply for such visas was by the 12th of November. I applied for mine one or two days before that deadline, so I also utilised mine in 2016.

But no more. So go to check and then come back to apologise.

Not having a go at Joseph but my fairly clear understanding is you guys are correct it changed & the tourist visas are more limited.

I guess Joseph has another visa or as you have suggested he will find out things have changed.

Not so much come back & apologise but come back & update us with any news or new info on tourist visas.

Personally I find the bus runs not a problem but the visas very interesting.

Keep it cool & real guys.

Thanks.

Jack.

So have you found a suitable visa run for your double entry Tourist Visa?

jack/jimmy,

yes, they have placed a visa in place that will do exactly as before, at a higher cost.

It's what I told you. They now have only the Multiple Entry Visa at US$200. What not confirm this or at least share information if you've found a better way?

I have tried to explain...all I received was a bunch of criticism.  I have already applied for my visa for this next trip...it is EXACTLY as I described. I, AGAIN, will not respond to any subject that is not addressed to my original post.  It seems, as always, people want to make problems...NO ONE has even attempted to answer what I asked at the beginning. This is typical with all these know it alls that have no life and nothing better to do that to start controversy, so again..if you can not answer what the post heading is,,,...how about keeping your stupid ass comments to yourself...or just try them on your POS GF who you bully into thinking you are an intelligent person.

It seems that you have some sort of issue with anger.

What everyone is trying to communicate to is that none of us are able to obtain double and triple entry tourist visas as before. So if you are able to obtain then, we would like to know where and for how much.

Rather than to be helpful to your fellow posters, you fly off the handle.

Somewhat amusing that you are angry because no one has answered your query and also angry because someone needs information from you.

So how about you wind your neck in, you dag..., Calm yourself down and let us know exactly what visa you obtained and how much you paid.....or is that too much to ask of you?

Exhibiting anger only illustrates a limited intelligence. It's doesn't affect us, it only affects you.

So try to muster up what little intelligence that may you have left and at least try to enter in to a normal dialogue.

I love it when someone says "End of subject"  lolololololololol... Usually means they realise they are wrong, but just can't admit it....

Face it Joey boy, you haven't got a dual entry, you may well have a METV...  what did you have to provide to get your sparkly new visa? Maybe your choice of words is a little loose in this case...admit you are wrong in this case, big boy, and move on...

Thanks for all the so important info on original topic. as far as being angry...trust me, i have been coming to Thailand since 1996, I have seen and heard it all. there is nothing on these forums that I would even consider getting angry about. As you can see, in a 20 yr period, i do not post that much. But to all the informed people that seem to know  everything...the only difference in my visa that i now have, is that i paid $80  8 days ago to get the visa, I mentioned $60 before, I might have mistaken that part. So, for all you now it alls....keep paying $200 or whatever it is you are paying. If you had not acted so "god almighty" maybe you would have learned something. have a nice day...

good-bye.  this site is not being monitored by me any longer.  out of 18 replies....only one pertained to the actual subject......way to go guys.

Watch the door mate.....

OK, as the very personable and nice OP mentioned Washington embassy earlier on, I thought I would take a look...  You know to get the facts..

Fact.... there is a single entry tourist visa available for the sum of 40 USD

Fact.... there is a METV available for the sum of 200 USD

Fact..... there are visas available for Medical treatment and   boxing & scuba diving & yoga training

NOWHERE, is there an 80 USD visa available for tourists...

I have no clue as to what the Visa the OP claims to have...

joseph1 is a very angry man. It seems to be only he who can't see it. He seems to hate everyone on the forum and only wants to use it for his benefit.

When it comes to sharing, he becomes irate. The type of visa is shown in your passport, joseph1, why not share with us? Which embassy still issues a double sixty day visa?

Is it an 'O' Type visa? A 'B' type visa?

Some of us have been visiting Thailand way before '96.
