1st time in clinic in thailand. 2800 doctor see me.. blood tests.. i.v drip b complex and glucose.. anti biodics and 4 other medicines 2800 baht... the girl with me said she got similar treatment in the soi bukaho hospital for 400 baht. Just wondering if its fair price??

It does not sound overly expensive to me. However, it's a little difficult to tell you with the information you gave. There are different antibiotics and all cost a different price. Also the 4 other medicines, how can we know how much they would cost anyway.

btw. I would not listen to the Girl, her "similiar treatment" may have been not realy the same. That said, you will usualy pay more then Thai people.

Can you put a price on health ??? As long as you feel better dose it matter

Hospitals usually cheaper than a clinic and farang usually pay more than Thai .

Sounds a bit expensive to me while the meds are probably the cheapest of the

cheapest Indian brand in small plastic bags and not the original box .

But a bit hard to tell from the info you gave us .

Meds are in plastic bags look cheap.. to see the doc was 100 blood tests were 300.. so the drip must be the expensive bit

I get sick alot if i was to stay here longer nect time i just want to find cheapest. . If this guy is responsible then im happy. Like i said this is all free in aus so i cant compare

Just to show how cheap meds can actually be in these countries ...

Few years ago i had a Cambodian friend who needed meds . Pharmacist was packing about 200 pills in all colors and sizes in

a bag . Girl tells me 'J , can you please pay for me , i forget my money' ... i think , ok that was the reason why you wanted me

to come with you to the pharmacy ...

I pull out a $50 bill as i expected the price to be around there somewhere ... got $49 change ...

Cost of flight back to Aus to get the free medical would come to more than you paid at the clinic...  just saying...

I've been told I needed IV antibiotics in both Philippine and Thai hospitals for different ailments. Each time I said no, just give me oral antibiotics (pills). Everything worked out fine. It's an IV=peso/baht scam. IMO

Every hole a goal.

Condoms kill boners. Save the boners.

Stop the Vagilantes.

No. Pattaya City Hospital is on Soi Buakaow. Pattaya Memorial is past Buakaow, just off Pattaya Klang.

You need to get your immune system strengthened, get yourself some Reishi, it's a Chinese medicinal mushroom, works wonders for immune system, it's great for liver and relaxes the body and mind also.. Another good product is Astra 8 by Fusion, you can pick them up at most health food stores in Oz, but you need to take this stuff all the time it t least a month or 2 leading up to your trip.. Lay off the booze its wrecking your immunity..,

if the treatment worked then it was worth the baht. I've tried City Hospital and walked out after 15 minutes of waiting for someone to assist me. The girl gets a better treatment price because she is not falang.
