Problem Buying Sim Card at 7/11

It appears that 7-11 doesn't do top ups for AIS sim cards. I had to go to  Family Mart because 7-11 told me they don't handle AIS.

May be just a coincidence, but on my last 2 trips to Philippines, this year..

All of a sudden 711 no longer sells phone load ( phone credit) .

As this thread has been revived I'll just say everything seems the same as 12 months ago. No problem getting a top up at 7-11, Family Mart etc. I'm still with True Move.

They usually have SIM cards on display but say they don't if a farang asks - at least that's a friend's experience.

As others have said, I think it's more that the staff can't be bothered with the hassle of registration than company policy.
