Just read an interesting article relating to Credit Cards for accumulating Air Miles - I currently use the AMEX SPG Card - but according to this article - there now seems to be a better option.

Mainly because there is no annual cost, some places do not take AMEX - however this option gives you 2 cards one being AMEX the other VISA and both cards are linked to the same account.

All views welcome..

I usually fly Emirates and they do have a deal with mbna where you can get a credit card that gives you skyward miles. But the interest rate on the best card for miles is over 50%! Which I suppose is OK if you are disciplined enough to pay it all off each month. Anyway the scheme has recently been devalued so far as to make a waste of time collecting them.

i looked at the visa/amex options on emirates site but i was of a similar opinion to shaygate. if i could pay mortgages with a credit card then it would be great  but i just dont spend enough to make it worthwhile. the only benefit i saw was getting the no annual fee card and getting 0% interest  for 12 months on emirates flights . this was limited though to the first year .

im sure if you are a big spender they could work out well for some .
