Bitten by a dog but no marks or blood

Walked past a dog just laying there on a small soi off buakhao when it ran up and bit me.

It mainly got the bottom of my shorts and I didn't feel his teeth sink into my skin, although I felt a weak superficial bite.

I yelled out and the owners presumably started scolding it in Thai.

Should I be worried? I think there was saliva on my skin but there was no marks and certainly no blood.

Not unless your dick was hanging out the bottom of your shorts.

I think you get about between 1-4 weeks before symptoms show so make the most of your holiday!

Me too. Got bit the last few days into my trip in Feb. My dog and another in the neighbourhood decided they didn't like each other anymore and had a full on row. I got it in the ankle. 5 jabs later and all good!

i got bitten by a guy playing football ( was an Accident)

no blood, just a small red mark, taught it would be ok

few day later my leg started to get sore..

next thing it started to swell up..

went to hospital with it about 5 days after..

spent 2 days in hospital with a drip of antibotics

the doc said if id left it for another few days he would be cutting the leg off :DeadHorse2:

"Exposure to the Virus

People usually get rabies from the bite of a rabid animal. It is also possible, but quite rare, that people may get rabies if infectious material from a rabid animal, such as saliva, gets directly into their eyes, nose, mouth, or a wound.

Scratches, abrasions, open wounds, or mucous membranes contaminated with saliva or other potentially infectious material (such as brain tissue) from a rabid animal constitute non-bite exposures. Occasionally reports of non-bite exposure are such that postexposure prophylaxis is given."

Next full moon is in 5 days (22 May). You'll know by then for sure.

And for future reference you need to wear silver.

Ever since i got bitten twice by a small dog on the ankle last year i have an irrational fear of small dogs that i dont know running up to me. This fear is heightened in asian countries. I was on holiday and i saw a guys leg malled in January in Seminyak. If i see a dog now i cross the road. What a wimp
