I wondered if corporations like Pfizer have to get Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval for the deadly drugs they produce for executions ?

Pfizer doesn't produce drugs for executions.

Certain drugs in high doses and in combination with other drugs can be used for executions. But this is not the intended purpose of those drugs. Pfizer would need approval for the intended purpose of those drugs (to help people sleep, to anaesthetize people, to alleviate pain, etc.)

I guess the market size for an execution drug is just too small. There are not enough executions by injection to justify the market research and drug development costs.
