A good travel agency for plane tickets.

Is there a good travel agency in Pattaya for plane tickets to the States?  Ran into a few over the years who lied like crazy about prices, so a honest agent would be nice to find.

I'd be willing to bet a million bucks they'd be using exactly the same Web sites we all use.

Do it yourself, then walk into a travel agency and ask them for their best price on your chosen flight. Odds on, they'd be the same as what you're getting on your own.

Which sites were you using?

Did you set up automated daily alerts? Same number of stops?

Exactly the same days and times?

This was an urgent April booking that had a small date window. This was a no change penalty 6 month ticket on Cathay Pacific. I got the seats I wanted, the shortest lay over, and they changed my return date in 5 minutes via email, plus I retained my desired seats.

I used Skyscanner, Expedia, and Farecompare.

The internet search sites, then book directly with airline internet site. Use them to find deals. Never will book with them, though. Rather deal with airlines than someone from Skyscanner, etc, should a problem arise.

Thank for the info. Yes I use both online and travel agency. At times a agency can find a better deal as in price and travel time. At present, the prices for tickets are all over the place. I was hoping a local agent could find something better with a few days in Japan or Korea before I head back to the states. I'm old and do not have to be at any place special. So, a few days stop over is a nice way to break up a long flight home.

I let Skyscanner to find me the best price and send me to the site ...
