SWANSEA City want to speak to former U.S. boss Bob Bradley about becoming their new manager, according to reports.

Swansea's American owners see Bradley as a possible successor to take over at the Liberty as Francesco Guidolin's struggles continue.

Thought we could/should have been two up by half time.

We could easily have conceded 3 or 4 in the first 30 minutes of the second half.

Brainless defending (again) to concede the penalty.

Overall, did think we deserved a point out of the game.

Same problems we've had for 2-3 years. Short at the back and no-one to score 15-20 goals a season.

Guidolin likely to pay the price, as Monk did, but the Chairman does all the transfers. Guidolin had no say at all this summer.

He wasn't even allowed to choose the new Club Captain when Williams left.

That is insane

It's an ongoing problem at the club which rarely gets talked about.

Chairman insists on getting involved in things he should stay well clear of.

He, and other Directors, go to training every day, talk about tactics, chat to certain players...

It's why they fell out with Laudrup - who didn't appreciate them interfering - and its why a couple of people turned the job down when Monk was sacked.

As I said, he does all the transfer deals & just tells the manager/coach afterwards.

Not sure where the new American owners fit into all of this.

Swans Club Statement:

We can confirm the club has parted company with Francesco Guidolin, who will be replaced by Bob Bradley.

My statement: FFS!!!!

Crap football to watch for rest of season & relegation at the end of it.

Suppose it was bound to happen sooner or later, especially as they seemed to interviewing people while he was still in the job!! Also no surprise with American backers they went for a fellow Yank, apart from being u.s.a. coach awhile back i don`t know alot about him. Shame on the timing though ,as by all accounts you gave Liverpool a far harder game than we (Leicester) did. Hope you stay up.

The last couple of performances have been much better - but still no points.

I think they'd decided a few weeks ago to get rid of him at the international break.

Giggs and Paul Clement were interviewed as well as Bradley. A lot of fans very unhappy with the appointment.

I hope we stay up but the squad is very weak. I can't see us spending a fortune in January either.

We may scrape 35 or 36 points. That may keep us up this season.

  • 1 month later...

Heading to the Liberty later to watch us play Man Utd.

I know it's only the 11th game but can't help feeling a defeat, especially a heavy one, will mean we're very likely to be relegated this season.

New manger hardly set the place alight. Very dour. Tactics unclear, team shape unclear.

He's been talking to Berbatov as a possible free-agent signing.

As bad as Man Utd are playing I just can't see us getting anything today

It kills me to say this but I think we will go down even if they are willing to spend

who wants to go to a club that is struggling as much as we are

At the moment but I hope I'm wrong

The first half was the biggest load of shite I've seen from a Swans team in a very long time.

It was like a training game for Man Utd.

Bradley made 4 changes and went to a 4-4-2 formation.

Llorente & Borjan upfront don't run, don't chase back, don't work off the ball and don't tackle.

Britten & Ki as the central midfield players were very deep, just in front of the back 4. Britten worked hard as always, though he doesn't have the legs anymore, Ki didn't work hard as usual.

This left acres for the Utd defence and midfield to play unchallenged.

It could have been 4, 5 or 6 by half time - though the 2nd goal should have been an easy save for Fabianski.

Sigurdsson was played out of position in left midfield, Routledge played narrow on the right.

Mawson & Van der Hoorn have the potential to become very good centre backs but are inexperienced and both could do with an experienced player next to them. Rangel tries his best at right back but his legs went 2 seasons ago. Kingsley looks a decent young left back but needs a season or two.

After the third goal Bradley changed back to a 4-2-3-1, though with Borja out of position wide right and Routledge on the left.

At half time they both went off and were replaced by Montero & Barrow.

Much better shape in the second half & Swans actually created some chances.

Players booed during the first half, at half time & full time.

The hardcore fans were chanting "We want our club back" and were applauded by the rest if the crowd.

Sums up where the club is.

New owners with no feeling for the club & no understanding of the game.

Bradley not got a Scooby.

Can't see anything other than relegation.

Swansea City announce former Nottingham Forest boss Paul Williams as their new assistant manager #swans

Well, I guess he's used to the Championship. Could be useful next year.
