Sadly, confirmation today that the injury suffered by Jordan Morris at Huddersfield on Saturday was as serious as first thought.

Serious damage to his knee ligaments - ACL - means he definitely won’t play again this season and could be out for much longer.

He was signed on loan, with an option to buy, but it’s quite likely he won’t be seen in a Swans shirt again.

You're a scouser. Just go and nick one.

Alan Curtis goal here is still my favourite Swans moment. I was in seat L51 in the wooden stand behind the goal - as I had been for every game during the rise from Division 4 to Division 1 in success

So far Clement has done a great job, long may it continue.   It's a shame that we had 11 wasted games when Bob Bradley was in charge he was totally clueless and out of his depth, there can not have

What a week. After the disappointment of losing to Bristol City - where we gave our best performance in weeks for the first hour - we win 2 games 2-1 with a penalty in the last minute of added time in both.

Absolutely can’t question the attitude and effort from everyone in the squad and the undoubted team spirit.

We don’t have the depth of squad of many clubs and it’s taking it’s toll on the players, but they keep on going.

Great credit to Cooper and his coaching staff as well.

It doesn’t ease up. Blackburn away on Tuesday (one of our games in hand) before Luton away and Bournemouth away, then Cardiff at home 2 weeks today before the international break.

Norwich look clear and sure to go up, going to be a tough battle between us, Watford & Brentford - and maybe a couple of others.

Actually beginning to dream...

Paul Arriola will return to parent club DC United after a recurring thigh injury ruled him out for the remainder of Swansea City’s season.

On this day in 1978 the Swans recorded their record win of 8-0 against Hartlepool. I watched from my usual seat in the ‘double decker’ stand.

I watched the game v Birmingham and although its no consolation both penalty decisions were dubious, they`re given for anything nowadays, having said that Swansea themselves have won games fairly recently with last minute pens, suppose you gotta take the rough with the smooth.

In our game v Brentford today they had an handball appeal turned down that was more of a penalty that either of Birminghams last night, quite relieved tbh, automatics still on for yourselves but i think it will be Norwich and Watford for automatic.

I thought we got what we deserved. We were dreadful yet again, as we have been for a couple of months. Created nothing, utterly clueless. Zero chance of automatic promotion and we might struggle even to stay in the play-offs.

From what fans are saying on social media, Cooper is lucky there are no fans in the stadium as he’d be getting major grief. He’s fenced himself in though as he’s committed to 5 at the back (which was actually an accidental formation stumbled on towards the end of last season due to injuries) and has off-loaded nearly all the wingers & attacking wide players. He hasn’t been helped by the club not signing a true centre forward after Brewster’s loan ended last season.

At least in the playoffs form dosnt always play a part in who progresses, its like a different competition,  cup football if you like, last season Brentford were everybodies favourites in the final, but they didnt show up in the final and Fulham took their chance, any team thats in it has a good chance imo. In our brief sojourn into the prem we got promoted with two draws against sheff weds (winning the penalty shootout) and drawing a drab affair in the final v Reading but again winning on pens, we actually came through the playoffs without winning a game!

You`ve a good a chance as any if the playoffs are your Fate.

Yes, there have been quite a few games since the NY where we’ve been completely outplayed and got a draw, or even a 1-0 or 2-1 win. If we hang on to a play-off place we could do that again.

Norwich are nailed on to go up and probably Watford with them. Brentford will make the play-offs but I really don’t want them to go up as I think their manager is an objectionable twat :)

It’s looking like 3 from us, Reading, Barnsley & Bournemouth to join them, but another team could sneak in.

Looking like Wycombe, Sheffield Wednesday and one other to go down. Probably between Rotherham, Coventry & Birmingham though 3 or 4 others could get dragged in.

Cooper finally changed the 5 at the back today and switched to 4-3-3 but we were still absolutely awful. Not a single shot on target all game. The players look as if they’re going out trying not to lose rather than going out to win. We’ve forgotten how to play football. It’s now 447 minutes (not including added time) since we scored a goal.

Again, looking at social media I’d say most Swans fans don’t think we’ll make the play-offs and most don’t want Cooper to be manager at the start of next season.

The only bright spot today was Cardiff losing 5-0 at Wednesday.

They`ve certainly gone off the boil at the wrong time of the season, it wasnt that long ago they had the best defensive record in the division and the outlook looked bright, still in their own hands regarding playoffs but less room for manoeuvre now.

A message I sent to a pal on March 4th reads...Swans will be 5 pts clear in 2nd place if they win their games in hand!!  So what the hell has happened? they are playing now with no sense of purpose or direction, not only that there a clueless manager also, they'll be lucky to reach play-offs the way they are atm

447 minutes without a goal and hardly any shots on goal.

We got away with it for a while because we didn’t concede but it’s been like that for almost 3 months.

SWANSEA CITY TAKE STAND AGAINST ONLINE ABUSE

  Club

Swansea City has chosen to take a club-wide stance in the battle against abuse and discrimination of all forms on social media.

From 5pm today (April 8) all first-team players, those in the academy professional phase (under-23s and under-18s), Swansea City Ladies, our Community Trust, senior club staff and official club channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok and Snapchat) will not post any content for a period of seven days.

This decision has been taken as a result of conversations between senior club staff, players and management.

As a football club, we have seen several of our players subjected to abhorrent abuse in the past seven weeks alone, and we feel it is right to take a stand against behaviour that is a blight on our sport, and society at large.

We will always be unwavering in our support of our players, staff, supporters and the community that we proudly represent, and we are united as a club on this issue.

We also want to stand with players from other clubs who have had to endure vile discrimination on social media platforms.

As a club we are also acutely aware of how social media can impact on the mental health of players and staff, and we hope our strong stance will highlight the wider effects of abuse.

Additionally, chief executive Julian Winter has sent a letter to Twitter CEO, Jack Dorsey, and Facebook’s founder, chairman and CEO, Mark Zuckerberg to reiterate the club’s stance and Desire to see social media companies introduce more stringent policing and punishments for those guilty of the appalling and cowardly abuse that has sadly become far too common.

Something has to change soon and, as always, we welcome any support from fellow clubs, players, fans and executives as we all continue to work together in this important cause.

This club-wide stance will cover our matches against Millwall this Saturday (April 10) and our trip to Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday, April 13.

We would like to inform supporters that club news will continue to be posted via our official website during this period, before a return to social media activity at 5pm on Thursday, 15 April.

Swansea City would like to thank its sponsors and partners for their support on this matter, as well as the EFL.

“As a close and diverse group of players, this is something we all feel extremely passionate about,” said Swansea City captain Matt Grimes.

“Three of our squad have been racially abused in recent weeks and, as a squad and club, we wanted to take this stance as we again call on those at the forefront of social media companies to implement the change that is needed now and in the future.

“I find it staggering that we are still talking about racism and abuse of this kind. We are acutely aware of the pressures within football at this level, but it shouldn’t be underestimated as to how such levels of abuse can affect someone.

“Social media has provided so many positives over the last decade, however, the sickening and vile abuse that we are seeing on a daily and weekly basis is wholly unacceptable, and we hope that this stance across the club will be supported by everyone.

“We are a family, and we will always stand shoulder to shoulder with each other, whether that’s on the pitch or helping to fight injustice off it.”

Enough is enough.

Another home defeat. QPR deserved to win.

Playoffs await. Honestly, that’s an achievement given how weak the squad is.

Not confident, but you never know in the playoffs.
