Southampton deserved to win the game.

We battled and most players tried hard but no creativity.

Still stunned by Carvalhal’s selection. Home game, desperately needed the points, and he goes totally negative. It was the team you’d pick if you were hoping for a 0-0. The only slight excuse he has is that the squad is so weak there aren’t too many choices to make.

We’ve now just got to hope that Huddersfield lose their last 2 games and that we somehow manage to beat Stoke.

I really hope there’s a more positive team selection on Sunday.

Well, barring a miracle, that’s it for the Premier League.

We we’re lucky 2 years ago. We were very lucky last year. We deserved to go down this year.

Its been steady decline for 4 years. First Jenkins and the other old owners were boosting the books in order to line their own pockets from the sale of the club, then the new owners have no interest in football nor in putting a single penny of investment into the club. They’re only looking to take money out as a return on what they paid for the club.

We have a very poor squad. Next season will be all about staying in the Championship. We can forget any sort of promotion challenge.

Given the utter lack of sensible decision making, it’s difficult to predict exactly what will happen within the club. Everyone expects Carvalhal to go, but anyone’s guess who replaces him. Any player that can get a decent move will be gone, and the club will look to cash in on anyone they can get a price for.

The Under-23s have done well in PL2 so maybe a few of those players can step up. There’s a couple of players out on loan that will probably be in the first team squad now and, I guess, 6 or 7 of the current squad will still be around. We’ll probably make a few cheap signings.

Huge rebuilding job needs to be done.

Numerous reports that Carvahal is definitely going at the end of the season. No indication of who his replacement might be.

Supporters Trust has issued a statement calling for Jenkins to resign as Chairman.

Looks like Leon Britton is calling it a day at the end of the season. Hope he plays on Sunday so the fans can give him the send off he deserves.

Angel Rangel has not been offered a new contract so will leave the club after 11 years.

Commiserations but obviously im delighted for ourselves, wednesday night took a year off my life, my nerves were in shreds but what a rearguard action, same against man city too.

Doent seem long ago when Swansea defended most of the match with 10 men against us, and got a deserved point, the contrast between town fans and Swansea fans moods that day was huge.Although relegation is never pleasant the fact Cardiff are promoted it makes it worse for you.

Although you dont sound confident you might make a quick return, then again you might not but always expect the unexpected, our last two seasons have been testament to that!

Off down to the Liberty in about an hour.

Not sure what the atmosphere will be like as I understand some protests are planned. The game had been sold out but some may not bother now.

There’s bound to be a really good send off for Leon Britton and Angel Rangel, though. Both meant to be on the bench but will probably get on at some point unless something unexpected happens.

Let’s hope we can at least leave the PL with a win.

A disappointing result to end an even more disappointing season.

We dominated Stoke for 80% of the game. Actually created lots of chances for a change, but couldn’t make them count. Conceded two very poor goals.

The moment when Abraham blocked an Ayew shot on the Stoke line pretty much summed up the season.

Some weak attempts at protests but most fans just resigned to the situation.

Manager will go and we need to wait to see how many players will want to leave.

Not too long to sort out new coach/manager and maybe a Director of Football. Then we need to build a squad.

Consolidation next season and rebuilding. Hopefully get into a situation where we can push for promotion in 2 or 3 years.

Sorry about your team , mate . Very tough to take . Hopefully they will come back stronger . Cardiff will take a Swansea mantle as the only welsh team in the premiership 2018/19 .

Ki Sung-Yueng has confirmed he is leaving the club.

Expected as he is out of contract and had refused to discuss a new one.

Swansea City are set to complete the signing of Liverpool Under-23 forward Yan Dhanda.

Dhanda, 19, was the first player of Indian heritage to join the Reds on professional terms, signing a two-and-a-half-year deal in December 2015.

But he is out of contract this summer and has had a medical with Swansea, who have been relegated from the Premier League this season.

Dhanda joined Liverpool's academy from West Brom in July 2013.

The former England Under-17 international, who won the up-and-coming player category at the Asian Football Awards in 2013, scored for Liverpool's U23s against Swansea in August.

Birmingham-born Dhanda also claimed a last-minute winner against Manchester City and his last appearance for Liverpool included two goals in a 5-1 victory over Chelsea.

Thanks both. Sadly, it’s been coming for a couple of years.

My one consolation watching PL next season would be if Cardiff finish rock bottom.

Alfie Mawson has had knee surgery so is out of contention for the England World Cup squad.

Wondering if that increases the chances of him staying for next season as a number of clubs were meant to be interested in him, including Spurs. Guess it depends when he’s back fit.

Fabianski has asked for a transfer. Don’t think he’ll be the last.

No surprise yesterday when the club announced Carvalhal was not being kept on. Lots of people being mentioned as possible replacements.

From a Swedish reporter:

According to my information, Graham Potter is in oral agreement with Swansea. Expected to bring his assistant coach Billy Reid and scout Kyle Macaulay. Announces squad in the days and can be presented already on Friday. expressen.se/sport/fotboll/… https://t.co/7ishw1W4rt

Interesting appointment if true. A bit of a gamble but would be going back to the young, progressive coach formula that the club was built on in recent years.

Player recruitment will be key. It has been a failure in recent seasons and the club will need to get it right if we are to rebuild successfully.

Looks like the Swans have come to an agreement with Potter to be the new manager but haven’t yet agreed compensation with Ostersunds.

Swans rejected bids from West Ham for Fabianski and Mawson.

I expect they’ll both move this summer though.

Swans have also said they’re open to bids for Bony.

Graham Potter confirmed as new manager on a 3 year deal. He’s also bringing his Assistant and his Chief Scout.

Yes glad to see this appointment now we can start selling the players that want to leave obviously for the right price and start getting new ones in ready for the new challenge ahead in the Championship.
