A problem in just Japan? A number of incidents in recent years suggest that other countries could benefit from this as well. Some examples: 

 

Egypt: Do not carve your initials into ancient sandstone carvings. 

 

LOS: Physical confrontations with locals can be life-threatening...just don't do it. 

 

Anywhere: Intoxication that bothers others, aggression, etc on planes and other public transport is not acceptable. Just my opinion, of course.

Funny how this is only now a problem. Japan has been a tourist destination for years. Could there be one nationality in particular that is the reason why this is necessary? Or am I jumping to conclusions?
