Any BM:s used NA to get to Bangkok? I found a two way ticket for 4085 Skr, about 500$. How is the flight, the airplanes, the staff? Its kind of crazy! its less then I paid 1996, as far I remember my first trips flight cost 5900 with Thai.

I haven't flown Norwegian Air Shuttle, but they are a low cost carrier operating Boeing 787 Dreamliners on long haul routes.

I'll guess you have to pay extra for all sorts of little things you took for granted with Emirates or whoever.

Their web address is  http://www.norwegian.no/

They are okay, as long as you are not too tall. Not much space in economy class. Also lots of screaming kids.

They're a low cost airline, so you don't get food, drinks, IFE and have to pay extra for checked bags etc.

On the plus side they are crazy cheap, fly brand new 787s and every seat has a power socket so you can just bring your own laptop/iPad or whatever and that will keep you entertained.

Flown with them once ARN-BKK, was fine and cost me £165.

I flown with Norwegian and i like it because it nice price. Food i buy at airport. Flying it again in september. :-)

But bring audio earplugs. Then you dont hear the other people.

They are very affordable especially if you fly one way only. Not so much difference if you go return.

Just booked my flight to bkk in nov/de with norwegian. A lot of things like food, reserve seat, check in luggage etc is extra, but still cheap and direct oslo-bkk.

You are allowed to do that? Dang I just always assumed they would confiscate food the same way they take your water bottles. Going to prepare some big sandwiches for my flight then.

you have to buy water inside the airport, but I guess you can bring your own food prepared from home.

I have flown with them a couple of times and they are ok, but as others said everything except your seat is extra like head phones or a blanket.

Pussy always wins, it's undefeated

Yes,you can do that,as long as its not liquid, like soup.

Bring empty water bottles, also, made from plastic, you can fill them

up from tap-water,on the left hand side, were the gates are.

(you must go thru the passport-check) Theres a food shop (kiosk in norwegian)

on its left hand side, you can fill up some bottles with water.

Saves you about 36 kroner per bottle.

Cant understand why not more people fly with Norwegian.

Got a flight both ways,in february next year (high season)

for 3600 kroner! Beat that......

Yeah they're cool when they're cool. No bullshit like having to print stuff out beforehand or pay a crazy fee like Ryanair. Just have your phone and your passport with you and you're fine.

Yeah but don't be late for a check-in, otherwise your momma have to pay the fees.

Norwegian has been very good airline inside the Europe. Very affordable and I have been getting the front row and exit seats(great legroom) on my last flights(Prague and Budapest) without having to pay for them. Pure luck I guess. On short flights I have no need to buy any food or bewerages, so I only pay for the flight.

My expat mates have had very cheap oneway flights for Norwegian also. One of the rare airlines who offer this option. Only problem is that for going to Helsinki, you have to make 2 legs via Sweden, Norway or Denmark but it's worth of it as Finnair is not usually giving any discounts when you're doing one way only.
