Hi all,

Looking to head out on 12th June, however there may be spanners in the works so might need to leave it as late as possible, at the moment I can get BA for £450 or Thai for £480 does anyone know how much these will go up if I chose to book a couple of days before my travel date?

Thanks in Advance.

How long is a piece of string?  The only people that can tell you what the price will be in a couple of hours are the people adjusting the prices at the airline.

if you leave it too close to the take off date the airline will assume a business is paying for a business trip and charge a great deal more than those prices you quoted

I'm looking now for travel this weekend & there is some great deals with BA as part miles and payment, they are crazy cheap, just paying cash at last minute can be expensive

No. Nobody knows. Its impossible to say.

What can be said is that the prices quoted are very good for direct flights, and are probably at rock bottom there. They can only really go one way.

It's a gamble, but in the last 48 hours or so before take off,the airlines are prone to hold their nerve. ie unlikely to drop prices.

Have you thought about paying extra for a ticket which allows you to switch dates

Posted

They will only get more expensive almost certainly as less and less seats become available. Take the prices offered now

Just yesterday flights in June on Eva were about £90 cheaper than today rate. I was pissed because I like to fly Eva lol I'm going to wait a bit and see if the price Will go down. If not I might have to go will another airline. Probably a indirect flight.

Eva can vary wildly with some agents. What dates do you want ??

Personally, at the current cheap prices, I would most definitely book now, if they do go down later, they won't be by much but they could go up considerably which you would regret later.

iv been looking at flights for around 13th july till 5th august i can't find anything cheaper than £550 to £600 indirect and long lay overs.

Any idea if flights for this time will come down?

Hi 15th of June till the 5th or 6th of July. Thanks

Those dates: Eva about £540

Thai or BA about £470

Indirect: KLM or Swiss under £400.

It all depends on how full the flights are about a week prior to flights. Airline will then possibly make adjustments.

The actual answer despite what people may answer is no they do not.

I only pay three days before travel.

Anything around £450 is excellent for direct. These prices are only going to go up.

Can probably get it a bit cheaper with a layover.

Would you have to cancel your trip if the price goes up by £100 ? If you can't be sure of the date you can fly , then apart from buying a flexible ticket , then there's nothing you can do about which direction the price goes .... So does it really matter , it's probably a small % of what you are going to spend anyway ?

If it floats, flies or fucks It's probably cheaper to rent ...

That's the summer holiday season.

Loads of people flying off on their vacations at that time,so flight prices are traditionally high.

Those prices won't come down.

Cheapest is at time of post Air India if you're looking at normal connections at £406. Abnormal its £375 with Turkish

China Southern is between those 2 prices but I'd avoid like the plague

Having flown all 3 of those they are very different. Turkish Airlines are actually pretty decent, China Southern are a little bit cheap and cheerful but not really that bad aside from the annoying layover times in Guangzhou. Air India are the only one I'd actively seek to avoid.

No I meant Turkish at that price had long connection

I always book flights the day before flying and generally the price is still the same as when I first check 3 weeks before.
