Im arriving next week and was looking for some advice as to the best places to buy a new 1, something small in size as I only ever take cabin baggage with me, thx

If you are coming on holiday I would suggest you buy it before leaving home. It would then be easier should you need warranty work done. The price will be either the same or less (it's unlikely to be cheaper in Thailand). Also you will not have the Thai characters on the keyboard.

don't think ill get a chance to buy one before hand. duh, never even thought about the keyboard! wasn't sure about the price difference either. thx for replies

Obviously many places to buy from. Some of the better (least bad) ones !! Banana IT, JIB or Wattana (in Pattaya).

best is buy in your country as prices are not really cheaper in Thailand ..

I bought my last two laptops from JIB in Tukcom. On both occasions they were the most expensive ones they had in stock, both ASUS.

 

The first lasted about 2 years, but JIB have always been reasonable.

 

They have two shop locations inside Tukcom that are a stone's throw apart. One for selling laptops and small accessories, the second for other hardware such as computers, screens, drives etc..

 

Don't forget to apply for the tax refund. The staff can assist with that.
