But he want to sell food. :-)

Yes, but the reason this thread is so good is that it’s free of bullshit, until now :D

Well, sort of on topic, my 103 baht lunch today in condo bought from Foodland. Mixed salad, Virginia ham, poppyseed roll - and a sachet of dressing that contained rather more than I was expecting :)

Looked like a tasty light lunch to me. No cooking and minimal cleaning after. Little smudge of mustard on that ham and bun and I'm sold.

That looks like it's worth about 60 baht

If you know a place in Pattaya where you can get that meal for 60 baht, please do us all a favor and share the knowledge.

Hey mate, how was the roll ? I usually get mine from Tops over here on the DS, but they are so hard shelled, it's hard (no pun intended !!) to put anything on them and able to eat it :)

Really ? $3 Aus ? You wouldn't get the sauce for that let alone ham !

It was good. Very fresh. Soft enough to eat with no problem - chewy rather than crispy. 13 baht.

At this stage of my trip there’s no way I could produce that much.

Now, it’s time to get back on topic.

Good comeback.

The roll looks nice, and the extra poppy seeds would look good on the dressing.

Good catch though, you realize there was a hair on that ham? @davidge

Yes, I found it before eating it. It was a new ham, still wrapped, so must have been on machine.

Just to remind folks in the Jomtien area the bakery goods at Back Fabric are really good. Everything is fresh and very tasty. There is a thread about the place.

I for one am a total freak about their pretzels. Many other excellent bakery items as well. For those of you who refuse to get on a motor bike (no baht bus service here) they do deliver to the Jomtien and Phratamnak areas.

For any fans of U.S.-style meatloaf, it's one of the specials of the day again at Tigglebitties.

Meatloaf is not on Tig's regular menu, so the only chance to enjoy is to catch a special.  It seems to be the wrong pic in the above notice.

I reviewed the meatloaf special in post #1273 in this thread.

I've been making my way through the daily specials at Chill Inn.

I'm no food expert like Evil Penevil but I find it value for money, even though it's obviously not the highest quality.

  • Fish & chips: 89 Baht (Friday)
  • Pizza hawaii: 139 Baht (Saturday)
  • Burger (pork or chicken): 79 Baht (Sunday)

English breakfast at the Hungry Hippo for 109 baht.  https://hungryhippopattaya.com/

I prefer the Baht Buster at Retox but I understand that is no more.

The origanil Bhatbuster is available at I-Rovers for 129 bht which is identical to Retox just better a product.......IMO beats the other breakfast in the area including Hungry Hippos:GoldenSmile1:

I did a review of the 89-baht breakfast at Chill Inn earlier this year in this thread and thought much the same: it was good for the price, although much larger breakfasts are available for only a little more money.

Thank you for the prices and pics.

Now that the Baht Buster and Retox Soi Lengkee itself have passed on to that Great Greasy Spoon in the sky, what is currently the best value-for-money English breakfast in Pattaya?

Is breakfast still 60 baht at the Sailor Bar?  Not that I’d go there for anything else.

I'd forgotten about the Sailor.  I haven't been there in over a year, but as I recall, the breakfast had gone up to 65 baht.  Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
