ECD nets 59 firms using pirate software

The Economic Crime Suppression Division (ECD) has raided 59 companies and found that they were using more than 600 PCs with unlicensed and illegal software worth Bt97 million in the first quarter of this year.

It's a bit rich for them to be lecturing what companies should be doing for data security when, at least some, government departments were still (and probably still are) using Windows XP earlier this year. This allowed Anonymous to steal government information....lol


I wonder what their strike rate was. I suspect many companies in Thailand use software that they should be paying for but don't.
