Three weeks ago we started with the build of a modest two bedroom house in the village photos below , using a local well known builder

I'm happy two answer questions but nothing of a personal nature What I will say is that my TGF and I have been together for more than 4 years and whilst we call it our house I'm building it for her fc0ed8fef8700d1d6c8135fabf15e5d8.jpgfad4bf855f313b85c9830f5a9fcb120b.jpg8e39aa8bd3b2a801849ae8b09d4810b0.jpg792c5ada14800e2e9d7409142d28599b.jpg3958497e0029219e0f5686b3e099c9fa.jpg4e34006bc8febf0ef12472bcec8e4f48.jpg73443a72886ca53c7e866b871296b5f8.jpgeddea18502adff2afe13807be8d7320c.jpga27767a8119258da017f288a3385a23e.jpg5358094a1f3b8b0d9a80e4b0f13647a8.jpg64e9f6f9dc897c783d9587b7cd30a4e6.jpgand this is the house we have based the build on

If anyone can give advice on air conditioners I would be obliged

Split system in Bedroom and living area is best for q/c. Might as well get reverse cycle as Issan can get chilly in the relatively short winter.  Get a good brand.

My wifeys land was 25,000B and the modest 2BR brick house cost 700,000B - 10 years ago.

Could not buy a tin-shed in the country here for that.

Had this built last year down near Trang... 2 beds/2 western bathrooms 120 sq.mtres build for 1.3 million land was free...103.JPG

Not sure about what are good aircons here but be careful to check you will have enough electricity to run them. My line comes in through several rice paddies and connects a dozen houses before mine so I don't have enough power to run even one air con before 5pm most days. I bout a 15000 baht stepup transformer but that still doesn't work.

Did you consider solar panels? Any accomplished installers in your part of Thailand?

No none here at all unfortunately.

I don't have cable internet where I am either so have to rely on my phone internet which is a pain and slow.

From what I understand from family cable is good but I'm amazed at the lack of sola panels
