Hi Guys

Looking to book Thai Airways LHR----BKK non-stop for my October trip what a contrast in prices

There are 4 agents with a price of £483-8, but the rest are a massive £682 to £755 so what's

going on here, how can these 4 agents offer a price of £483-8 although very good and the rest

are £740 plus a big big difference.

Traveltrolley is very reliable. I have booked with them on numerous occasions. If you are getting a good price, I would just book it without hesitation.

I 'think' all 4 of the lower prices are with agents who sometimes/often quote a price then tell you it's gone up after you've booked.

They only confirm a seat with the airline after someone books they don't have an allocation beforehand.

I have booked flights through travel trolley, fly sharp and travelbag. Never had a problem with them calling me back and saying the price had gone up and I will have to pay more money. As for Thai airways, Ive flown with them a couple of times and flights have been ok.

My opinion would be, book the flight and look forward to your trip

Interesting to know about travel trolly, someone at work has kinda put me off using them saying be careful because they over book and you might get shafted concerning flight time or price change.. I pay way over the top at times because I'm worried this might happen with some of these agents.

One question

Can you pick a seat for the journey with them or not? I'm picky on what seats I like

Never had a problem with Travel trolly either. If Skycanner are pulling in an agents flights you can be confident that its 'good to go'.

No, not at the time of booking. But, once you're done, you shouldn't have any problem sorting your seats out online direct with the airline.

Going the other way, BKK - LHR in April, I found Thai one of the most expensive, while the best deal was with Malaysia Airlines via Kuala Lumpur. OK, so it's a longer flight but for three of us, it saved nearly THB38,000 compared to THAI.

Yep paid £490 with Travel trolley for my flight with Thai this month.

The only thing is that with these real cheap seats Thai often restrict the rows you can sit in, typically at the back of the plane.

If you are not fussed and just want to select a widow or aisle seat then it shouldn't be an issue.

Most times unable to change dates (100% charge) and partial or no miles

Travel Trolley = Southall Travel

I've never had an issue with Southall either must have had more than 10 tickets

Try looking at the jet cost comparison site I've found them to come in cheaper than sky scanner

I always fly Thai , but book direct with the Airline last Nov about £450 Rtn  booked last week  for April £525-00, but it depends on which day of the week you travel,

some days the same booking is around £700 to £800, dont ask me why , it makes no sense to me .

instant confirmation though, eticket and seat selection, I think they are a good Airline and direct non stop from LHR

That was a funny seat!

Who cares, just book the cheapest one, thats what price comparisons are for, to identify the cheapest, not for you to do investigations of why one is one is more expensive than the others!

The cheapest fares always come with the most restrictions and the least amount of Air Miles...

I got Thai air to fly in May for £460 through Opodo but booked it a few months back.

I did manage to book an extra legroom seat on the Thai aiways website initially but have since been moved but not surprised with that tbh, as I thought they'd be saved for frequent flyers or anyone willing to pay a premium.

Also watch for Opodo loading your bill when you come to pay depending on what card you use.
