H Boutique....a Lottelee Winna review

This was my first stay at H Boutique, I had stayed previously at the slightly more expensive sister hotel 24 7 a few yards up the soi. When you come across an experience which pleasantly surprises you, then it's only fair to share it with everyone else. H Boutique hotel definitely qualifies for that! It really is a great value for money hotel.

Location - Located in Soi Honey (near LK and between second road and Buhakow).  In the very middle of the action, close to anything you may want to walk to (or take a quick baht bus / taxi ride to)

Quality - Remember we are talking about 3* hotel - it easily qualifies for 3*. Six floors and a very quick lift. There is nothing really to complain about  - clean and modern rooms and bathroom.

Service  - Reception staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are immaculately cleaned every day (guys a 20THB note left on the bed for the maid every day is appreciated).

Breakfast - served in nearby honey hotel (part of the same chain) is very tasty, with omelettes cooked to order.

Guest Friendly - Of course (I think more than one guest at a time incurs an additional charge).

Room - Good size, flat screen TV with a lot of English/US/Euro channels. Plenty of wardrobe space. In room safe OK for IPad but not laptop. Wifi signal decent(ish), but have to constantly re-log on (a bit of a pain). Modern bathroom, no tub, but powerful rainshower. Rooms have thick walls so no boom boom noises from next door. I can also recommend the comfy beds.

Room Tip - I paid an extra 100THB pn for a front facing room (slightly larger room and a 2 seat balcony over looking soi honey)

Facilities - No pool or gym...can use these at 24 7 hotel (150THB charge)

Cost - 1,200THB pn including breakfast (weekly rate for the superior room in high season)

Overview - This is a small boutique hotel, which does not have a zillion Chinese package tourists like some of the big chains do. The hotel is very quiet at present with no construction noise (altho that can change in a flash in Patts). Great location and guest friendly....I recommend it.

Thanks for the report.

Looking at several different options for later in the year, but some of the hotels are booking up really quickly

Have you stayed at their sister hotel too?

Thanks

Waco

Yes mate I have stayed in 24 7 hotel a couple of times (I did a hotel review I'm sure). It is very similar to H Boutique, but has a pool and gym. I haven't stayed at the other sister hotel Honey Inn.

Thanks for the review. looks pretty good for the price.

Not fussed about having a balcony in that street, so the "back" room would be an option for me. Did you happen to inspect one of those rooms? I'm assuming they receive less natural light into the room.

Also, can you recall if the breakfast was all-day?

I didn't see the back rooms mate. However, from reading Trip Advisor I think they are furnished to the same standard, are slightly smaller, and balcony faces onto next building. These rooms might also be slightly noisier in the early hours as they back onto the rear of LK Metro. From talking to guys staying in the hotel, they saythe back rooms are fine.

I think the breakfast finishes at 11. Not absolutely sure though as I am out early golfing.

Just wanted to thank you for the report. Based on it, I decided to check in today for a couple of nights. So far so good - very reasonable and the close proximity to LK Metro is nice.

Thanks mate!

Finishes at 1000 but if you get there by 1000 you won't be thrown out.

One annoyance is you can only have one device connected to the internet at a time. Ask nicely and they'll give you a second code. You do have to log in every time though and it's a little slow.

Otherwise, it's a good place to stay in terms of value and location. It's front side rooms are slightly better (newer) than Honey Inn's.

Thanks LLW and Sinbad for your posts. I will keep this one in mind for my next trip.

I've been a China Garden customer for the past few years, but maybe a little change is a good idea. I think I'd try and book a room without the breakfast tariff, as 10am is too early.

I couldn't recall seeing much construction work on Soi Honey on my recent trip either.

This does look better than Honey Inn, similar bathroom but a lot brighter room and more modern. I will look into this hotel next trip.

Thanks for posting :)

Thank's for another one of many good reviews. I'm looking into booking 24/7 but I can't find anything about there being a gym at 24/7? I've checked their website and others too, without finding anything. Can someone please confirm?

Mate 24 7 has a roof-top pool and gym. The gym consists of a running machine, stationery bike, cross trainer, multi-gym and a small rack of free weights.
