6 nations rugby union starts today ,  

 

France awful in Paris edging Italy 23  -  21        Scotland  England just about to start .

 

Who do think will win this years tournament   ?     Scotland full of hope after their world cup exploits .

 

Ireland or England for me , although i can't believe England have made that serial thug Dylan Hartley their  Captain

Fair enough , they are Welsh . 

 

Don't rate this booing of the kickers as they line up penaltys either .   Very noticable at Murrayfield yesterday , the commentators tried to play it down , but hardly sporting.

Seems to be creeping in more and more? Draw a fair result today wasn't impressed by either side

They won't beat England or Wales playing like that .

 

The Ireland game was dire , although conditions didn't help .

After 2 rounds of matches , only France and England with 2 victories, and they both look beatable .

 

40 - 9 flattered England in Rome today , but a win is a win .

Friday night match in the six nations    half time  Wales 6 France 3 .       

 

A dire 40 minutes , Wales huffing and puffing but can't make possesion count , it took France half an hour to break a tackle and threaten the Welsh line .

 

Somebody suggested ,  is this the worst 6 nations tournament ever ?  Worst iv'e seen for quite some time . 

 

English Referee Wayne Barnes fussing like an old mother hen not helping either .

 

2nd half must be better , surely .

 

 

Edit:   Wales 19  France 10  Final .    slightly better second half , even the tv commentators couldn't talk this one up .

Watching Italy Scotland at the moment  . 10 -17    Not of the highest quality but far more entertaining than that bore last night ..

Yes , finally a decent game to watch ,  both sides with ambition to move the ball .   

 

England seemed to be stronger throughout the 80 minutes but Ireland had their chances .

the fly half is 3rd choice for zebre it must be demoralising for some of their players!

Have lost count of the missed tackles by italy.defend like that at this level and there's only going to be one outcome.England v Wales should be interesting. Think England will just shade it.

Yes , agree it seems almost standard that the Bench of subs get on for the last " few minutes " of the game .

 

Not sure Wales would have scored those late tries if Jones had resisted the temptation to use them .   Nearly went wrong .

 

A relief that Joubert let the game flow as much as he could .
