What is your compact camera? I am considering Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX100

This looks like a pretty sweet camera to carry, I own a Canon EOS SLR but the thing

is a little bulky to carry around all the time and kind of screams "please rob this tourist"...

This Lumix got a Gold rating on DP Review website

Any of you have one? If not, what compact do you like?

I got the LUMIX DMC-TZ60 before my last trip.

Easy to use. Easy to transfer photos to iPad. Great zoom.

Without the case, it will fit in my shirt pocket.

I'm definitely NOT a photographer but was very happy with my pics.

I also have a Nikon s9600.

One good thing about it is that it will wirelessly connect to your smartphone so you can use it as a viewfinder, and can also automatically transfer pics to your phone for safekeeping or uploading online without messing with memory cards and such.

I have the Panasonic LX-5, i looked at LX100 and think its to big to have in pocket.

I miss some zoom at my cam. And would prefer a even smaller cam then the LX-5 for point&shoot

I do have a Canon 60D to other stuff

This Pana or the Sony RX100 are both great small cameras .

Like the OP I have a Canon DSLR (1DX) which with lens and flash etc. is too bulky for general use. I bought a Canon G1X Mk 11 as a "carry around" and the quality of the image are brilliant. Good zoom range, F2 lens and even the built in flash is better than I expected. Now the DSLR stays in the studio and the compact is more than good enough for travel.

Sony RX100 Mk3 is my current preference, brilliant little camera!

Yes this, I have had a RX100 for years, it's my pocket camera, all iterations of these have gotten bigger and heavier.  I could not put the Mark 2 and up in a side pocket on my shorts. Having said that the specs on the last couple, well they have pretty incredible specs for such a small camera.

I think it's the Mark 2 that introduced Wifi, although you can get around this with a WiFi card.

Anyone have a suggestion for a new camera. I have today a Panasonic LX-5, i like it alot.

But, are there a smaller and similar camera in size, but with a larger zoom?

I have just pulled the trigger  on a Panasonic TZ80.

Great zoom  and lightweight  with all features  I want
