I think bell bus will let you get on a (same day) later bus if you miss your pre-booked one. I think i read it on their website.

I get the airport bus to Jomtien The big blue ones, Its about 130 baht. It always seems more relaxing way to travel than in a Taxi,

Can be found on the Ground floor of airport, Next to Bell Bus ticket stand.

Exact same one I get, and I swear by it. Same amount of time, and a fraction of the cost. If I have to wait thirty minutes or so, I don't mind because I'm usually getting my nicotine levels back to where they should be after the flight.
