Hello,

I have been reading all the topics and post regarding the info I am interested in. I already selected a couple of the recommended hotels to choose from when it will be needed, but I was wondering if anyone has info on this condos https://www.google.com/maps/place/City+Garden/@12.9264872,100.8769876,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m2!3m1!1s0x3102960d898398ff:0xcfdc876c7ffa8d44  their name is city garden, I found them in airbnb and while there is one that asks a lot for deposit, there is another that seems cool. and also, what would be better, a condo or an hotel room?

Greetings and thank you for the feedback

How long are you going for mate? Many condos attach extra fees inc cleaning, utilities etc. If you are on holiday  best to stay at a hotel...especially if it's your first time

Thanks for the advice, I'm going for only 10 days. I will be 7 in BKK, do you thinks is to much time in BKK? should i make it less so I can stay longer in Pattaya?

If it was me I would do 3 nights in Bangkok to enjoy and see the sights then Pattaya for 7, if you find you enjoyed Bangkok more go back there for a final night blast

It all depends what you want to get out of your trip.

Sight seeing and mongering. Half and half

Pure mongering. Pattaya most of your trip

I have been to bkk a few times and there are seriously hot women there, however pattaya is wall to wall fun and fanny.

I'm planning my trip like this from the 4th to the 10th BKK, then a plane to Siem reap on the 11th, staying in Siem reap till the 13, plane back to BKK on the 14th and then taxi to Pattaya, stay in Pattaya till the 23rd. 23rd got flight to LA and then Mexico city. Im from mexico, so this is a long and kinda expensive trip so its not like I can make it every 6 months :LOL2: , also at work they will not give me more vacations days, I am already using all and a couple of sick days :Grin3:

first trip I would advise maybe a guest house run by one of the board members.. would be a good source of information and directions to help you find your way around

I work hard to support those on benefits! :Banghead2:

How do you know you're going to get sick?

My Pattaya budget is perfectly adequate as long as I don't spend any of it

Flipper House hotel. Best place for first time travellers. Central location, good prices, nice hotel and pools. Girl friendly

Boomerang gets my vote,  nice area outstanding rooms ..

This is a good option but if you have abit more money to spend that the LK Metropole is my recommendation.

I know i'm goin to get hardcore slagged for this but hows about The Apex hotel ? (2nd Road) about 10 seconds away from Soi Diana, 600 Baht a night and mighty close to everything....................Soi 6 is a fookin walk away but a baht bus will get you down 2nd road to the top of the 6  easy peasy! .

Great location,i haven`t stayed there for years, about nine or ten in fact.It was a bit worn then so surely its had a refurb by now,its ok for a no frills place to stay, but i wouldnt stay there for more than a few nights!

Stayed at the APEX in 2012 and apart from a great room, the mini-bar had 7/11 prices. There have been a few bad reviews recently but these have nearly all been about rude staff and in my experience that kind of complaint usually says more about the customer than anything. Best to book one night then extend if it's OK. Just across the road from Mike's, near Soi Diana and Soi Honey Inn, food court and night markets just a short walk down the road towards Central Pattaya Klang.

Thanks everyone for your replies, I still have time to chose from, not to much tho, i would like to have this resolved at the most in early march, the thing is that now I have to increase the cost of my budget, this because of the economy, between our lovely and honest rulers in mexico and the problems in china our currency had a devaluation, so now the dollar went from 16 mxd per dollar to 18 mxd. It may not seem much but it really hits my pockets a little. Within 3 years our currency went from 12.50 to 18.50 that is the current exchange rate, it really sucks
