United Club Narita

Passes are cheap on EBay. ($16) Is the United Club at Narita worth it for 3+ hour layover? I have used Shower rooms before at this airport.

I think so. It's worth it just for the shower but of course there's also the food, drinks and strong wifi. I've done it every trip.

I've used them from eBay several times, just go with a seller with a good eBay rep.

 

$16 is pretty low but when you buy them in sets of 4 they can sometimes be had for that. Average price is likely $20 or so but it is a lot cheaper than buying the day pass at the individual United Club. I think they are $40 there.

If you are a club member you can bring a guest but with the pass it is strictly one person per pass.

Two 1-time use United Club passes is one of the free perks you get every year as a Chase Explorer credit card holder.  I have this credit card and the United Club passes posted on ebay look like the ones I received.

The United club in Narita is nice but the JAL/one world is much nicer. The food selection is excellent.

In any case 16 for a 3 hour stay is a good deal. Hell you could drink 16 worth of booze in that amount of time.

Yes - I used my eBay purchased United card for the Narita lounge. Not much in the way of food (Japanese crackers mostly) but open bar. WiFi was a joke - so slow it was unusable. 

 

 

To be honest it was mediocre but as earlier posters commented the shower makes the entire purchase worth it. 

 

One additional warning - there is no United Club at Haneda - your pass with the affiliate airline will not be honored (LFMF).
