WASHINGTON - President Barack Obama reiterated Sunday that the United States would not be pulled into a protracted ground war in Syria or Iraq, even as it steps up the fight against the Islamic State group.

He's only going to be in office for another year.  I suspect that if Clinton or any of the republicans get into office it;s only a matter of time before it's "boots on the ground" all over again.
