Hey, has anyone used the new vivagel condoms?  If yes, what did you think?  Are you able to buy them in LOS?

I can't believe I ate the whole thing!

Not sure if it's available in LOS, but in Australia it's marketed as Lifestyles dual protect, it has an anti viral lube.

why anti viral lube on a condom? isnt the condom enough?

Loom, as I understand it, there are STDs that a condom won't protect you from.  For example, herpes.  Also, if a condom breaks or comes off, you have an extra layer of protection.

Wouldn't you want all the protect you could get from catching an STD?

I can't believe I ate the whole thing!

could be a real extra protection, or as i suspect marketing. havent read any research on it though.

but your right, extra protection for a nickel, no reason to say no.

Here's an older article:  http://www.medicaldaily.com/vivagel-coated-condom-kills-stds-antiviral-lubricant-soon-be-sale-294168

I have read a bit on the subject, but I thought it all sounds to good to be true.  Seems to be the real deal.

Like the durex with Nonoxenol 9 back in the eighties. Don't know if it helped protect from hiv, but it tasted so bad there was no chance of getting a blowjob.

I am not sure why you say condoms don't protect against herpes. Because they do.

I have read conflicting reports about that.  I'm not a doctor, so I can't say for sure.

Here's an update:

As I said, I ordered some from Australia.  Got them yesterday and tried them this morning.  They are thick, so sensitivity, or lack thereof, is an issue.  They are lubed with vivagel, but it's almost like they are dry.  The expiration date is quite short, as far as condoms are concerned.  The ones I ordered at set to expire in May of 2016.  In my experience, condoms have a 2 to 3 years.

I was also quite surprised that they are manufactured in Thailand.

As a first time user, I have to say that I don't like them.  I will try them out more this weekend and let you know if I grow to like them more.

I can't believe I ate the whole thing!

Much better mate, they transfer heat better, feels as close to babreback as you will get with all the protection. Check out SKYN and Sagami..

I just got back from LOS and found a box full SKYN waiting for me.  I had written to them and they sent a few free boxes.  Can't wait to try them out.

You will be own away how good they feel, a tip somebody mentioned was to put a drop of lube on the tip of your cock before putting it on , extra sensation.. You won't go back to latex..

Thanks.  I'll try that.  I need to get some water based lube.  I'm swimming in coconut oil at the moment.

Good thing with non latex condoms is you can use all types of lube, water based and mineral based, coconut oil would work well too..
