I set my cookie filter to quit high and that suits me but when one is blocked I get an on screen warning icon.

This site is allowed to put in cookies but when I am connected on here I keep getting a 'cookie alert' about a site called 7is7.com trying to place cookies.

Can anyone tell me what this means?

The site is run by some guy called Otto but looked a bit dodgy so I didn't click on anything on there !

Cheers

Stu

Depends on the cookie. A cookie such as that placed by this site siomply tells the site you are logged on. When it expires, that is an "auto-logoff".

A more sinister cookie is a "tracking" cookie, used to figure out what websites you are going to. These are used for data mining purposes, but most people consider them an invasion of privacy. Most anti-spyware programs will filter these out. I keep cookies turned on, but spyware-scan my computer occasionally.

Working at getting laid in Pattaya is like working at drowning at the bottom of the ocean.  If you want to get the most out of Pattaya, take the chicks for granted, and enjoy life like you would on any other holiday.

Thanks for that Ray.

The puzzling thing was that I allow PA to place cookies but when I am on here the other site always tries to as I potter around and gets blocked!

This generates a 'Privacy' icon which , if clicked, shows the blocked site to be 7is7.com.

I wondered why I was logging on here but getting cookies from another site sent down ?

Thanks for the reply Bryan, I was just puzzled by it as my system blocks the cookies and lists them and &is& site cookies are attempted each time I read the posts on PA!

As they get blocked I don't need to remove them I think. I just wondered if any of you tech guys could tell me about them and that site.

The other site that puts cookies on your disc is the Thai 'anti porn' blocker that puts a message on your screen to say you cant view a porn site from Thailand !

As these show potential offences here ( Porn is illegal in Thailand ) then these could be problematic !
