Anyone ever stayed chaiyapoon inn?

Looking to stay a month from 7th February. Looking at the "suite" room if anyone has ever stayed in that one?

 

Finding it difficult to find any decent pictures on their website.

 

Just wondering if anyone has stayed in this hotel before and would reccommend it?

Or if not, does anyone know a good hotel around the same area, for no more than 20kthb for the month. Cheers!

I stayed in this guest house about 4 years ago never again

The room I stayed in was infested with cockroaches

After going out at night and coming back into the room and turning the light on

Every time at least 20 cockroaches would scatter all over the room

Told the receptionist

she just laughed

loads of good accommodation in that area .

That end of Soi Chaiyapoon has quite a few Thai orientated late night bars and Karaoke joints. I can only imagine the the noise at 4AM.

I remember reading another thread where someone received additional cleaning charges because his room/sheets and/or towels were dirtier than "normal".

 

I specifically know of bad incident in which the owner was involved and IMHO he's a complete douchebag.

 

Anyway, I think you're right to steer clear of this place.

Friend booked for a week he arrived they had given his room away when he asked why was told another man want to stay 2 weeks

Chaiyapoon Inn was fantastic. I will try and stay there on my next visit. Will post a review when I get around to it.
