Visa question - thanks for any info

I always arrive with a three (3) Month visa (single entry) from Australia. My mate arrived with me, but had to leave for a funeral in America, so used the three month single entry visa up already!

The planned return is 20 Nov from America (that's where the funeral was). My understanding is, a 30 day visa will be given upon arrival, as carrying an Australian passport. My question is:

1. Can an extension still be granted in Jomtien?

2. What documents are needed to get the extension?

Any advice is much appreciated, as we didn't intend to return to Australian until Feb 2016.

Maybe we will take a trip to Cambodia by air, so that we get 30 days upon return to the Bkk.

Thanks in advance.

I spend half my money on hookers and booze ,the other half I waste.

Only a short visit to be with family following a sudden death.

  • 3 weeks later...

I've taken two mates over there.. had the copy shop next door do the paperwork, 50 baht tip, then hand in the passport, copies and photos including 1900 baht and retired across the road for a couple cold beers.

Easy as.

Re: paperwork. Copy shop did it for you ? Is the form only in Thai ?

Just a form to fill out without any other "documentation" (other than your passport) ?

i.e. NO proof of income, or lease agreement, or hotel paperwork stating that you're staying with them ??? Just 1 PP picture ?
